I normally won’t complain when I’ve had a bad or poor experience in the past, my problem is I prefer to trust who I deal with. This time it bit me right in the butt or should I say pocket book. When I asked Justin if he had ever replaced a shutoff valve before he answered “oh yea, many times” So I let him proceed with the job. After several hours of watching him get very frustrated trying to piece back the pipes he already cut I became concerned. He was struggling and pulling on the pipes and I was, and still am, worried that there will be future leaks elsewhere. After he figured out how to put it all back together I could not believe my eyes. What was once a very neat area of piping now looks like a hair scramble of copper pipes. There are many angles and turns which look to me as being a very unprofessional job. He was definitely relieved that there were no leaks. After him being here for 4 hours he hands me the bill which I could not believe. $797.00 dollars!!! To fix a shut off valve in my laundry room. When I questioned him he stated he was here for 4 hours at $130 per hour and it included the parts. When I mentioned how displeased I was with the bill he didn’t blink an eye. Shame on me for not asking for an estimate before allowing him to start the job, I never thought he would take advantage of us and charge that much. Now my drywall is cracked and the area that once looked very nice now looks horrible. I would not recommend Simonic plumbing to anyone due to the workmanship and outright gouging of the charges.

Problem was identified promptly, cause was determined and solution details, including costs, were discussed. The Simoncic team was able to align with our scheduling requirements and complete the work as planned.

It went great. Justin came right on time and repaired the drain and trap in my shower. He was very knowledgeable, polite and personable. He did a very professional job and cleaned up everything when he was finished. I would highly recommend Simonic Plumbing and will definitely call them for future plumbing needs.

Overall the services were performed well. I did ask to have a second outside faucet installed but it was overlooked. I wasn't charged for it so I didn't make a big deal about it. After fixing the leak at the main water shutoff, the young man walked to our second floor to ensure the water was working. He neglected to take off his boots or put covers over them, nor did he wash his hands, getting our white shower curtain dirty. Also, they replaced the old outside faucet with a new part. The part itself ended up leaking and it took several weeks to get a response from them to fix it. All in all, they did good work,  but the services could have been a little better.

I called Simonic to look at a swimming pool drain line which was leaking, possibly due to a clog or a crack. I got a call from Jack Simonic informing me of his availability. I got scheduled same week, and I asked Jack to be at my house promptly at 9:30. On the day of appointment, I had forgotten the appointment, and had left the house. I got a call from Jack informing me that he is at my house, and I asked him to wait for me till I get there. I showed up 30 minute late. He was there with his son and another person. I demonstrated the problem to him, and he looked at the drain clean out and suggested to run an eel on the short connection from the clean out to the next drain (which was less than one foot, but was 5 feet deep), although that section was not clogged and we could see water flowing. He used an electric eel to unclog that section. He did not give me an estimate of running the eel before doing so, though I did not ask for it either. He was at our property for one hour (30 minutes waiting for me, and 30 minutes working)
At the end of the job, I asked Jack how the the work he performed addressed the leak of the drain line from the swimming pool filter to the sewer. He said it was most likely broken, and anyway, he did not have the equipment to access the line (It is 1 1/2").
For the services he provided he seemed he did fine, but I had the following issues:
- He did not give an estimate for running the eel before doing so. So the cost he quoted at the end of work seemed high for one hour of his time.
- He did accept to come to our property knowing we had an issue with swimming pool drain, but he was not equipped to diagnose the problem. Many other plumbers I called for this problem said they wont take such issues beforehand.
- He did not take credit card, though the Angie's List shows that he does, and he said he forgot his card reader at home.
This issues were compensated by:
- His nice manner.
- Showing promptly at the job and waiting while I was late.
- Not creating more problems for us.
- Doing the snaking cleanly and professionally.

Our old water expansion tank developed a leak. We called Simonic plumbing. Jack was quick to respond, calling back within less than 2 hours of our call, and showed up 50 minutes later. After a while, he was joined by his son. They removed the old tank, and installed new one, along with necessary piping and fittings. Afterward they checked the pressure and bled the radiators. The whole thing took 2.5 hours. The work appears to have done professionally, and I would definitely trust them with future repairs. Their price is a bit high though.

The father and son team are great. They knew what they were doing and we're very nice. They cleaned up and made sure nothing was left undone. I'm surprised there aren't more positive reviews on here. They sure deserve it!
