I had a 25 year old SEIKO clock that has a pendulum that quit swinging. The clock kept time, so there must be separate mechanisms. Since it still kept time, it couldn't be the battery. I noticed this shop on Rt 8 as I was driving along, so I took the clock the next time I planned to drive that way. It's a small store-front amid a small plaza on the west side, near a small deli & a barber shop - it's easy to miss. In any event, the proprietor greeted me warmly as I began to explain my circumstances. The shop was small & had a lot of things going on. His enthusiasm dipped after he asked the brand of clock as he explained that SEIKO components are tough to obtain. He offered to diagnose the problem for a $40 fee, which would also include his time to search for any needed parts, and also told me not to expect to hear anything for at least a month. I agreed to both stipulations & left the clock. Fast forward about 6 weeks later & he called to tell me that he was able to fix it without needing any part; he dis-assembled it & serviced whatever needed to be serviced & the pendulum resumed it's swinging motion. He charged me an additional $100, for a total of $140. I have no prior clock repair experience so I have no frame of reference on that price point. But I'm satisfied since the clock is now functioning properly. NOTE: Before going, be sure he's there as I suggest a call first as he does make house calls to service larger clocks that can't be brought in to the shop. He also has some antique clocks for-sale & a sign outside indicates that he also buys clocks.

I had a clock that was a few years old and the hour and minute hands no longer worked. I took it to the shop and was provided with an estimate of $50. That is exactly how much the repair cost. The experience was satisfactory, but be aware they only take cash or check and the store hours are very limited.
Description of Work: I had a "cheap" clock that was about 5 years old and the hour and minute hand no longer worked, so I took it to get an estimate and to get it repaired.

Great from the minute I walked in the store. I dropped them off on two different Saturday's and I think they were ready before the following Saturday but since i live a little further from the shop I picked them up the following weekend. They are work just fine and I feel the price was right for what needed to be done.
Description of Work: I had two clocks that stopped working.

I took the clock in to have the chimes repaired. The owner asked how old the clock was, then recommended the additional cleaning. Since the clock was going to be in the shop anyway, I went ahead with the cleaning. I was not in a hurry for the clock and gave the shop a 3 week window for the repair. The clock was repaired and cleaned before the due date.
Description of Work: Repaired the chimes on a 2 year old cuckoo clock plus cleaning.

It was ready within a week as stated. It's rehung and doing just fine.
Description of Work: I took my Trend-Sleigh wall clock for repair of the chime. It ran well, but the chime & hour were out of sinc. The owner recommended a full overhaul & cleaning @ $250 with guarantees. I opted for the chime repair only @ $75 +tax & no guarantee.
