They checked out power panel box and all the lines to make sure it was all working properly. While Adams Electric was outside and checking it thoroughly from the pole to the house connection. The gentleman alsoadded an extra line and plug into my kitchen. Fixed a plug a friend put in that was all switched around so it never worked correctly now it works great!!! Added several 3 pronged grounded plugs to replace theseveral two old ones we had. Found out the problem that caused the blow out the prior weekend?? Which had nothing to do with anything we were using??? But since I don't know electric somehow it did. So he took those lines which we had covered with cover plates and just took them and made them and made them rendered them useless. He also added the grounded a wire in my kitchen so we didn't always set off the circuit breaker and that was a blessing also changed all the 2 pronged ones to 3 prongs well as many as time allowed. Oh and he worked tirelessly the entire time he took no break and never sat to rest. We got our money's worth for sure and they charged us $60.00 an hour as promised He was here from 12:30PM or 12:45PM till 4:00 PM and like I said he worked so hard I was dizzy watching him. Thank You Heflin Electric I will always call you as we have always done as needed. P.S. I also made a mistake in there pricing and an Mr Heflin corrected me and dropped the service call this time for me since I thought they charged $85.00 and hour but that was not true they charge 85,00 as a service then they just charged the $60.00 per hour which is average for this area. We do not have the bill yet but with our figuring we think it should be approximately $300.00 but if it is more or less I will let you know if I can get back in to do so. THANK YOU HEFLIN ELECTRIC FOR YOUR HONESTY AND PROMPT HELP WHEN I NEEDED YOU MOST YOU WERE THERE. GOD BLESS!

I have an 1857 house which was in need of electrical work. A line of knob and tube needed to be removed and numerous light fixtures had to be replaced with antique fixtures and fans. (about 13) Additionally, GFI's had to replace standard outlets in the kitchen and bath. Rick was prompt in responding to every phone call, arrived punctually and was very knowledgeable; explaining what he recommended and why. Like all the other electricians from which I received an estimate, he agreed to replace the knob and tube in the basement but he was also willing to trace that line, fish it out of the walls and replace it in the living room and hallway. He warned me that he would have to cut pieces out of the walls and ceiling to do so but would minimize the damage to the historic house. His estimate was comparable to the other companies but he was provided slightly more by fishing out that knob and tube upstairs.

Rick arrived with his work men, Kevin and Ben, as scheduled. The men were polite, always precisely on time and communicated with me on any questionable issues as well as simply updating me on the progress. They did minimize the damage to small areas as they promised. I should have no difficulty patching the holes that were necessary to complete the work. Because I did not have one of the antique fixtures ready for installation they had to make a return trip. Rick was happy to schedule the return visit at my convenience. Kevin was prompt in returning to finish the work, as he and Ben had been on each of the 4 days they worked for me. The workmanship was excellent and the electricians were very professional. Kevin even helped me out with a non electrical related issue I was experiencing on the return visit; simply out of kindness. I was extremely satisfied with all facets of this job from the communication to the workmanship and as noted, the cost was very competitive. I would most definitely choose Heflin again and recommend them to others.

I purchased the generator online and Heflin installed it. Excellent job; wiring was done without an unattractive mess. Technicians were very polite and professional, offering advice on how best to utilize the circuits connected to the back-up. Mis-wired one breaker but that issue was immediately solved. The owner, Rick Heflin, was very responsive to schedule and price. Heflin was not the least expensive quote I received but they did the job and I was totally satisfied.

A late Friday phone call from my tenant reported that all the outlets in a bedroom being used as an office had suddenly failed. We were able to verify that (a) all circuit breakers were closed and operative, and therefore (b) it was over our heads. A call to Heflin late morning Monday had them there to check it out after lunch. The electrician was professional and seemed knowledgeable, but he, too, was uncertain as to why we had the circuit failure. Having checked out all the easy possibilities, he concluded that a splice or cable within the walls had failed. Some of the wiring in this older home was knob and tube, and he said sometimes people splice in the new wiring without knowing they're creating problems down the road.
The next morning he and a colleague replaced some know and tube wiring in the basement with new Romex and went over all the connections they could locate. Somewhere in there they restored power, and we didn't have to go to extremes of knocking holes in the walls.
The bill seemed like a significant amount, but there was a significant number of man-hours on this project (I'm familiar enough with wiring to have a good feel for what's involved, and it was a headscratcher for me). I feel the charges were fair and much better than what I had feared I might be in for. Mostly I was impressed and grateful for how quickly they responded and fixed the problem.

The service was excellent. They came out fast and worked quickly. The workers were pleasant and cleaned up after themselves. They offered fair prices.
