A & M Pool Services

I can not say enough about this family and their company.  I am a first time pool owner last year (2014).  We purchased a 16 1/2 X 38 rectangle pool from Artesian Pools in York (they sell Foxx inground). Installation went fine but contractors became difficult to work with.  Once the pool was installed and started to have algae problems, we received the Worst customer service ever. The chemical prices are very high and they continued to sell us more and more of them.  Anyway, when we bought the pool, they sold us on a "high quality" Black Diamond Cartridge filter system supposedly made for inground pool... problem is... it's just like one you'd put on a small above ground pool. We also have a Frog Leap Mineral Chlorine system (also above ground we find out) and they were completely inadequate for our needs.  We had MANY MANY problems keeping our pool clean.  We even had Jeff come out (begged Jeff to come out).  He told us it was because we had not finished the landscaping around our pool.  What could we say, there was dirt around the outer edge.  SO... we closed the pool for the year (october) and waited until spring.  
Fast forward to March this year.  We immediately took care of the hardscape around the pool.  No dirt anywhere.  Opened the poo in May and it took 2 weeks to filter it clean.  We were able to swim for a few good days then, again, algae.  Bought more chemicals and for 2 weeks, we have been dealing with cloudy greenish water.  I run the filter 24 hours a day, clean first it first thing in the morning, vacuum the pool, clean the filter again and then clean it again at night.  I'm am exhausted!   We called and talked to Gary and he told us the filter IS adequate and it must be our chemicals.   He promised us that if we used their chemicals, we will have not problem.  We agreed to try but only because that's the only way we can get to the customer satisfaction guarantee and get them to agree it isn't sufficient.
THEN!!!  I find A&M Pool Service!  Turns out Mike (Owner) has 40 yrs in the business!  Went to them to get advice.  The daughter (Monica) couldn't believe the problems we were having and immediately jumped in her van and followed me home.  She was appalled by what she saw for a filter system.  put in some ph chem's and gave us advice to rip out the system.  She called her dad to come by with their DE filter and within an hour he was here.
Mike hooked up his old DE filter system (4pm) and pump (turned ours off) and had it cleaning our pool in no time.  He bet us that by morning we would see clear blue water, if not, we wouldn't have to pay him for the use of his DE.  He also said, he has never lost a bet.  Turns out... we were both winners!  He didn't lose the bet and we and an amazingly beautiful CLEAR BLUE pool.  It's never EVER looked this good. THANK YOU MIKE!  So appreciated!

They had worked on the pool before I moved in to this place. They did okay. Their price was reasonable.
