SCHRECKENGOST PLASTERING

We added rooms on our house in 2001. The wallboard work was never great. Over time, numerous cracks developed in the walls and ceiling. We decided to have the cracks patched as part of a refresh in the 17X34 family room, which features a vaulted ceiling. We called Jeff for an estimate. The closer he looked, the more he found wrong with the original work, including outside corner protectors installed on all the inside corners (a major source of the cracks in the corners). We were working against the clock, as a new floor and furniture were due to be installed/delivered about two weeks later. Jeff and Simon Cochran, his partner, stepped up big time. They worked quickly and resolved all the issues, including applying two coats of paint, before the deadline. We even added additional tasks to the original request, removing two decorative ceiling beams and installing new trim around five windows, all of which was done in the time allotted. The finished product is first-rate. No corners were cut and nothing was left undone. We love the way the room turned out and are amazed we didn't even know how bad the original job was until it got fixed. Both Jeff and Simon are very personable, as well as professional. It was a pleasure to deal with them and I will definitely call them again when we are ready to have the rest of the 2001 addition fixed, two other rooms and a hallway, .
