Baker Excavating & Hauling

When he finally got here, (he did not show up when he said he would and then weather turned bad), he and his employee worked diligently and constantly. I had been upset with him not showing up sooner, and a friend who had used his services told me to "hang in there" and wait for him if I could because he is good at what he does. I have to agree with him on that. Mr. Baker is very knowledgeable about what he is doing and very thorough. I appreciated that he took the time to call me outside to show me where the main water seepage  problem was and what he had done to correct it. He re-situated shrubs and small trees that I had asked him to save, and even made a few minor repairs of things he saw that needed fixed (not because of his work.) We have had several heavy rains since this work was completed, and so far, all is dry in my basement. With each rain, I feel more confident that the work has solved the problem. They put my yard "back together" not quite as good as new, but he is an excavator, not a landscaper, so I have worked on that on my own.
I feel that the price was fair given the investment he has in his equipment and the knowledge that he brings to the job as well as the hard work he and his employee put into the project. I would recommend him to others needing this type of work done.Once he gets to the project, he is yours for the duration, showing up early and working  many hours per day until the work is done to your satisfaction. I rated him as only a B for punctuality based solely on the fact that I had to wait for him to get here to start the project.
