My friend Dallas underwent the procedure of fluid removal without the need to be anesthetized. This is a testimonial to the good, positive, caring energy that Dr. Lerner and her staff project. She is truly a caring individual. My friend allowed all of this to be done without fuss. They are truly caring and concerned for the animal's state of mind and body.

My cat is not nice when she's scared so she is difficult to handle. The Dr. handled the situation well, but because of the cats temper some non essential parts of a routine exam had to be left out.

.My husband's not very happy with Just for Cats. I had an appointment for Thursday at 5.30 and one of my cats fell sick, she had an ear infection, so I called them and they said that instead of bringing one cat today, which was Tuesday and the other one on Thursday, I could bring them both in today at 5.30. I went there but I didn't see the vet until 10.06 and I was told that they have an appointment at 6 so we may have to wait to get our cats ear checked. She didn't even take 2 minutes, she didn't even know what to charge me, because she had been treating that ear with drops and she said that the ear looks nice and pink and my other cat was losing weight, so she thought he may have feline leukemia and I asked if it is contagious and she said yes and I asked if she could weigh my other cat because she doesn't eat that well either and if one has it, the other may have it as well, and she said she was running out of time and may not have time to weigh, I mean it takes her a minute to weigh the cat and then when she looked in the ear and the cat had inflammation of the ear the first time, gave him drop and took him back, she said he looks wonderful and all that and the third time we took him back to have his ear checked and she said it is inflamed again and I don't have an instrument that go down far enough to tell you if it is polyps or tumor, but she said she could give the name of the other guy who could do a biopsy for about 2000 dollars and I was shocked at the figure, I was already spending about a 1000 dollars on the other one and that was a liver disease. I had to go there this morning for blood staining which they didn't tell me would take about an hour and then I had to take him back home and feed him and bring him back and have the test done again. The receptionist did not tell me to feed him tuna and oil and they said if you can get the cat to eat tuna and oil, she said get him a tuna with oil. He took about 4 bites and he needed about 2 teaspoons of food, I had to force him to eat using my hand. and then about 20 minutes before I was supposed to take him back, he ate about 2 bites and I drove him all the way back and they told me that the two bites would not be enough, so I had to leave him and now I am waiting for them to call me back for me to pick him up. My husband is very smart and twice now, she told him that the cat was very very aggressive, when he goes to Vets with dogs and other animals, he gets petrified but since this is only cats he considers cats predators, so they had to muzzle him, he has never acted like that before. I think that it makes sense, and she told him that he was so aggressive that 2 assistants had to hold him down while she took his temperature rectally and couldn't do it. When I took him back, I said my husband said you couldn't take the temperature rectaly, can you do it in the ear too and she said that she had taken his temperature rectaly and it was 100 point something and my husband said, why would I come home and tell you that? Then another time she said we would have to take the cat to the university of Pennsylvania, and when I asked her about it, she said she hadn't said anything like that and my husband was very upset about that. The receptionist is nice, she calls me back. I think Just for Cats is cheaper than other vets. She is doing as much she can, and I think she is just too busy so sometimes she forgets. She goes way above and beyond in terms of dealing with cat insurance companies. She fills out all paperwork and gives them all notes. Her and the staff are always calling me back, and telling me the cheapest place to buy the cat food we like. I think she's being very conscientious now. The service is so good from the staff.

You cannot beat the quality of service for the price. I had gone to the same veterinarian hospital for over 30 years and not only do I know I was over charged for services, my animals did not receive the care they deserved. I would drive 45 minurtes if necessary to go to Just 4 Cats!

* I gave Just 4 Cats a "B" for punctuality because she takes her time and provides a thorough evaluation and exam. If you have a sick kitty you would appreciate her taking her time to ge to the bottom of what is wrong and provide the proper treatment. I have never felt "rushed" when I have been there and don't mind waiting when I know she gives 100% to each and every patient.

I've been really pleased with them, they only see cats. The last time I was there something came up and the vet had to sedate a cat she hadn't planned on so it held everyone up. My husband went back today for a return visit and she didn't charge us because she felt so bad that we had to wait so long last time. Not many people would do that. She was also late to get u in for another visit, too. The staff is friendly and we don't have any trouble with billing and administration.

I have dealt with this business since I got my cat two years ago. All of the staff are friendly, warm, and accommodating. The doctor encourages you to ask questions, and she answers your questions honestly and thoughtfully. My cat has an anger problem, and we brought it up to the doctor during the exam. Instead of offering expensive remedies, like anti-anxiety medicine for the cat, I was happy hear the doctor propose a common sense behavioral approach to improving my cat's behavior. We listened to her advice, and, as a result, we have seen a noticeable improvement in our cat's behavior. I would recommend Just for Cats to anyone in need of a friendly and knowledgeable Veterinarian.

I took my 13-year-old cat to Dr. Andrea Lerner because his appetite and water consumption had declined so badly. He was a new patient for her, with an complex history of kidney/urinary-tract problems including chronic kidney failure. Before she even came into the examining room she spent a good amount of time absorbing the medical records from other veterinarians I had brought along; this was the first thing that impressed me so much about her. In that first visit I was amazed at the amount of attention she gave to analyzing what could be going on with this particular animal and sharing her thinking with me. It was evident that she is constantly seeking to add to her knowledge of veterinary science, and to communicate that to her clients. One example of that, which was particularly astonishing to me: when I mentioned my concern about how little water the cat was now consuming, she went to her computer to search for information on the normal amount of water consumption by cats, and found actual data on this, and printed it out, and we were able to have a discussion based on solid information. Dr. Lerner didn't just suggest medications to counter symptoms or slow down the progress of the disease; she explained in detail the symptoms, the underlying disease, and how the medications work, and provided a very informative print-out and directed me to a source of further information. Dr. Lerner is very generous in providing advice by phone, at no charge. This is facilitated by her office assistant, who very ably takes detailed notes on the problem to pass along to the doctor. When another problem necessitated a visit to a veterinary emergency service at a time when Dr. Lerner wasn't available, afterwards she asked for a daily report on how the cat was doing. I think Dr. Lerner is a superb veterinarian because of the thoroughness of attention she gives to the individual case and her emphasis on applying scientific findings.

I tried a different kind of food and my cat turned out to be allergic. I took her to the vet, I was advised to start her on different foods. Very caring, their are only two vets in the clinic and they only take to prevent stress for the cats having to deal with the loud barking dogs. I would recommend them to everyone, I am very happy with the care I received.
