John's Electrical Service

John was on time and explained what he was doing every step of the way. He is detailed, professional and courteous. He and his assistant were great with cleanup and drop cloths. John had a busy day planned, but took the time to schedule me for his first appointment because my washer was not operational due to a non-working receptacle. John is preparing another price quote for me for additional work.

I called John for a second opinion on fixing an outlet and upgrading my electric panel. I received his name through personal referral (family member who works in electric component sales). I was very happy with his work. He came on time, he was very polite, and he took great pains to explain what he was doing and why. He and assistant were very courteous. Afterwards, the work areas were very clean. John also was very willing to meet with my husband (who wasn't available when the work was done) to explain the work. There were no surprises and the cost was exactly as estimated.

The first thing he told me was to contact the electric company to make sure it's something they're not responsible for - which I believe a lot of electricians wouldn't mention. The electric company found one wire that was their responsibility but the rest was ours. I called John's back and they found that water was sliding down a big cable and getting the main wet. John ended up replace the cable, the electrical meter, the breaker box, and gave me a dedicated line to my sump pump because he noticed it was on a huge extension cord.
He was very nice, told me everything he'd do and gave me the price up front. He stuck to the price and they got everything done within a few hours. If anything goes on and I need to call him, he sets up a time that's convenient for me, not necessarily him, right away and is flexible about when he receives payment. He also put in a new exterior light and hooked up a new fan above the stove recently.

John was knowledgeable, professional and friendly from my first inquiry about getting the job assessed to the completed project..He was able to deal with extremely deteriorated exterior wiring as well as some very and quot;creativeand quot; electrical work done piecemeal throughout the life of the house in a safe and efficient way that adhered to all electrical codes.The inspection was a breeze. He always called/came when he said he would and was very considerate to my mother-in-law who was at home during the work. I would recommend him without reservation.

The job went smoothly. No surprises.

He presents himself well and I like him. He is very competent. I have used him three times in six to seven months and every time I have used him, I have been happy. He does great work and has done a lot of work around the house. He shows up when he says he is going to, he cleans up well, and his assistant is very courteous. His charges are fair. I am concerned about the price as much as anybody else, but I don't let it get in the way of getting good work done. He was referred to me by our plumber. I would recommend him without any reservations.
