GALLE ELECTRIC LLC

Galle Electric came last month and removed the remaining knob and tube from our home, which was a big job. They did fantastic with it! Galle is a small family business with very competent, knowledgeable, personable, thoughtful, careful workers. They left all of the wires they worked on behind the wall (no surface mount), fished enormously and with tenacity to reach difficult places (even crawled through some crawl spaces), plastered over every small hole they had drilled, and were very responsive to requests. They regularly cleaned up the plaster dust they created and managed to get the job done (with 3 men working) in 3 1/2 days. They always arrived on time and worked through to the end of the day. I was very happy to have them and have been totally satisfied with the results.... No more knob and tube and a highly marketable home!

I had several contractors over to review what needed to be done. I hired John Galle and am happy that I did. I was impressed by the prompt arrival of the contractors. Once they started work, they worked diligently until the end of their day. I felt as though the gentlemen took much pride in their work and it showed. I also though they were very knowledgeable about work being done and spoke to me about it in a way that could be easily understand.

John and Ron did a great job rewiring my new house that had old knob & tube running throughout it. There were no additional cost overruns and the estimate was the final price paid for that work (~$10,500). In addition, they were able to consolidate and rewire the sub-panels, add 3 ceiling fans, consolidate/fix switches and outlets, and rewire the detached garage ($1,600). I was referred to Galle by a coworker and have referred John to others already. Was very pleased with their work.

The guys were great, efficient, and did a great job with the lights. The one thing was that they left kind of a mess. Bits of wire were everywhere and there was a lot of wood bits and sawdust where the new breaker box was installed. Otherwise was great.

When I phoned the company, the person on the other end (who I later found out was the owner) answered "Hello?" without mentioning a business name. I probably should've ended things there. Instead I set up a service appointment. On the day of service, the owner's employee arrived an hour late, but did eventually perform the service work, after which he charged me 33% more than the owner had quoted, without any explanation for the upcharge. Lesson learned.

Ok on first job. It didn't go at all on second job.

The Galle team were a professional, and the work came out wonderful. The crew finished in a timely fashion, and were very reasonable in price. They also weren't pushing extra work to get down. Thanks for the work!

I called John early Monday morning because of sparks coming out of our breaker panel and a tripped breaker. He called back later that morning and was able to come to our house that afternoon. He pointed out the problem and was able to quickly fix a broken cable and install an anti-short device.

One of the best service experiences we have ever had!  I had met with John in June regarding the installation of a generator switch for our portable generator.  He came off as honest, upfront and knowledgeable.  We received a few additional quotes and his was competitive. I kept the quote until we were ready to move forward with the project.  The recent blizzard upped our timeline for this project to immediate!  I emailed John the day before the blizzard was due to hit.  He got back to me right away and was able to send out Brian this next morning.  He spoke with my husband the night before and outlined our options and pricing.  Brian showed up the next morning on time, he was very professional and took time to answer all of our questions.  He went right to work and finished the project in the timeline he mentioned and around my schedule for picking up my child from school.  The price was a slightly more than we anticipated but after a quick call with John we felt very comfortable that we were getting a fair price - especially for the quick responsiveness.  We will absolutely use Galle again for all our electrical needs.  Overall a phenomenal experience!

We recently renovated our new (but old - built in 1928) home, and electric was one of the areas we shopped very hard. We received 6 different bids which varied from $12k to $30k (for the same exact work).
Upon receiving such wide-ranging prices, I became nervous that if I went with a lower costing bid (Galle was not the least expensive, but definitely among the lower priced quotes), I wouldn't receive the same amount/quality of work. Therefore, I pestered John (whose quote-wording was more ambiguous) to ensure every item that was listed in the competing quotes was also included in his bid. He confirmed everything in a timely manner and ultimately we decided to go with him after hearing some funky tings about the lower-priced companies. 
Everything went great, and Galle's work was exactly what we were looking for and in happened in the time frame we discussed. They were sensitive to the fact that we had plaster and lath walls and created very few holes. There were a few things they had to come back and adjust, but nothing major and John was always happy to do it (without making me feel like an annoyance). 
I'd hire them again.

John Galle & team were very professional.  They provided quotes and service as request.  I have had no issues since.  I'm not an expert on pricing, but they seemed reasonable. I would go with them again if needed.

Galle was able to accommodate the chandelier installation on short notice. On the day of install, they arrived on time and got right to work. The new light looks great. The price was fair and John and Ron were true professionals. Great experience!

John was very punctual, personal and professional from the estimating visit to the delivery of the service.  I would recommend Galle Electric to my friends and neighbors and would also use them again if the need arises.

I've sometimes found it hard to get contractors to come for small jobs, but the gentlemen at Galle Electric were perfectly willing to come and fix two little problems for me.  We had a bit of a miscommunication about the timing of the estimate, but once we got that sorted out they were on time, courteous, and very professional.  I'd consider using them again.

John was great, very responsive, smart, reasonable and personable.  I've called and used other electricians in the area and he is by far the best.  Some can't even come for 3 weeks or are very expensive.  Would definitely use John again!
