We had problems from the start.  First the cabinet stain was not correct, the granite did not have the proper corners and needed to be replaced, the cabinet maker and installer had cut out very large openings in the back of the cabinets for the water lines, (did replace one cabinet that was very bad, but told us we would have to live with the ones that were cut off center to the pipes making it difficult for the plumbing), poor design on the cabinet doors in the laundry room (the doors hit the walls); kitchen cabinet doors had gaps between the doors in which you can see your shelving through; the door bumpers were not put on correctly i.e. the attached area should have been cleaned before sticking them on, now they move on the door and fall off; never cleaned up the wood shavings that were found in the drawers and cabinets; the designer promised to supervise the installation and help to pick out the granite and never did; cabinet and desk did not have a finished top which we had to address with them with their reluctance to finish them and many other issues.  They told us we would have to live with the problems.  We withheld the final payment of $4,000.00 to make sure they would resolve the issues but they ended up putting a lien on our house.

Lloyd was prompt about getting back to me on the first contact.  He does change for initial design, but if you work with him, the cost gets included in the overall design cost.  He had reliable contractors.  He was with us with every part of the decision making process and got us to great suppliers for appliances, hardware (sinks and faucets), flooring, cabinets and granite.  We had set a completion date from the beginning and except for one small detail, the kitchen was completed beautifully and on time.  Any changes in cost, were immediately invoiced.  There were no surprises.
