I purchased my home about three years ago knowing the basement had a history of flooding whenever there was a decent amount of rain. The previous owners had several estimates done just before I purchased the house and one of them was done by B.J. Fisher's company. Barry's quote was by far the most reasonable so last week I called him and asked if he could return and do a current estimate since the last one was thee years old. I also called a few other companies for estimates as well.
Barry came out the very next day and since I had already installed my own sump pit and pump a year ago, his new estimate was substantiannly less than the original and he even offered to tap a window well that had overflowed once in the past without charging any extra. He also spared me all the scare tactics I heard from his competitors when they were out to do their estimates, which by the way weren't even in the same ballpark.
Due to the price, Barry's experience, professionalism, and the fact that he would be working on-site the whole time, I chose his company to do the job.
Work began just a week after the estimate and took two days full days to complete. Barry and his crew were punctual, pleasant, and hard working. They worked from about 8:00am to about 3:00pm without stopping for breaks or to eat...and I even offered coffee and pizza. The completed job looks good, Barry was patient with my questions and frequent visits to the basement to take pictures of the progress, and they actually left my basement cleaner than before they started.
The really cool thing is just twelve hours after Barry and his crew completed, we received at least and inch of rain and so far the new pressure relief system is working perfectly. Not a drop of water has entered the basement and the amount of water being captured and pumped from the sump is amazing.
