MAL Contracting

They did a very nice job.  The house has a much better appearance now.

Our home had a family room with old double glazed windows and a sliding patio door.  The door did not open because the track had sunk and was distorted and the windows were beginning to leak.  We decided to replace all of it with larger windows and a knee wall.  After some research, we chose Pella's Advanced Low-E  Argon filled custom windows.  The contractor  (Mike Loris) was recommended by our local Pella distributor.  He was also the lowest of 3 estimates for the work.  We signed a contract on May 26.  Mike ordered the windows and notified us on July 1st that the windows were in.  He arrived early Monday July 8th with a crew of 5 including himself.  The work was completed by Noon Thursday.  They took particular care to protect the carpet in the room and used plastic to isolate the room from the adjoining areas.   When they found rotted wood where the door had been, they replaced it without additional charges.  Several other issues were resolved without added cost.  Although not specified, Mike textured the interior surface of the knee wall to match the adjoining surfaces.  An additional quarter round molding was added to the baseboard to cover the gap in the carpet left when the patio door sill was removed.  The crew was skilled and neat and acted professionally at all times.  They cleaned up at the end of each day.
