Nutemp Heating & Cooling

I originally had 3 violations from PGW due to having a 50+ year old gas furnace. 2 issues were with the actual furnace and 1 was with the exhaust duct running to my chimney. I called Tim, the service manager, with some follow up questions after receiving an estimate the day before. After discussing some of the concerns I had,Tim dropped his plans to come back that same night and explained my options. Tim was very professional and straight to point. Once I was informed that a high efficiency would address all 3 violations, plus free up some head room in my basement, I was sold.
It was raining the day the technicians arrived. Gary and Charlie were friendly and informative. They didn't require any accommodation and was able to get the job done in roughly 5 hours. I was impressed how fast the removal and installation took. They gave me a break down of the necessary maintenance and where to locate the filter as they wrapped up the installation. The furnace works great. Overall I was very pleased with the team Nu Temp sent and would recommend this company.

When the guy came out the last time, he said we needed a new air conditioning unit or else there was a chance of fire and explosion. We brought in an independent guy who was a friend of my son's and he said all we needed was Freon and have it cleaned up. We never went back to Nutemp. We found out that they weren't doing the correct cleaning and were unreliable. They were also trying to take advantage of us. When we had this new fella who came in with another company, they cleaned everything and what they did was 10 times more things than Nutemp had done over the past 10 years. We had always thought the services from Nutemp were fine until the other company took our unit outside, the central air was pitch-black. Nutemp had never taken it out for cleaning.

Nutemp Heating & Cooling put in new air conditioning unit in my basement on 6/1. I turned it on 6/4 (as I did not need it before then) and on 6/5 I called them back and told them there is something wrong because there was a loud noise. They sent someone out to look at it and said it was a bad pump. When he removed the tiles in my ceilings, I could see water damage was starting, and I had just had the basement redone. I have called them several times since and they just take my phone number but they're not returning my calls. I'm not looking for anything other than having the product I paid for that works properly.

The tech that came out was able to temporary fix the problem so she would have heat. Tony didn't charge her for the temporary fix.  We did get the problem fix because of a bird flying inside the chimney which made the heater not work. I wanted to make sure the tech that did come out was praised for a great service he provided.

Although there were some problems with the last air conditioning installation, Nu-Temp responded immediately and fixed the problems at no additional cost to us.

Overall, the experience was positive.  The new furnace is working well and  saving me money on oil   We are all satisied.

Everything went very well. The place was cleaner after they were finished than when they started. The experience obtaining the quote was fantastic. They came to the house and were very courteous and professional.

The workers were very courteous.  They came when they were supposed to.  It was cleaner than when I saw it first.  They did the whole thing in one day which I was very surprised.  I compared their price and their pricing was way better and even when I went to some these home shows and I asked them for pricing I could not believe it.  The local electric gas company here said that I could be eligible for a rebate.  On the receipt that Nu Temp gave me had a lot of information but it did not have the model number.  So I had to call them back and ask them for a receipt with the model number.  Now they already had all my money and everything and i think it just took one day and the next day I got a different receipt with the model number.  I was very happy with them.  As a matter of fact I am thinking of having them install my air-conditioning unit.  I was personally happy with them.  I had a very good experience with this company.

It was an overall horrific experience. Bottom line, we had a part on our heater that needed to be replaced. First my husband physically showed the technician the part that needed to be fixed. (We had a plumber who knew what he was doing tell us what was wrong, but our hands were tied because we needed to use our home warranty to replace this part). They returned to our home with the wrong part. I then personally told the technician what part needed to be replaced, showed him, and went as far as to get our plumber on the phone to explain the problem and the part that needed to be replaced. They again returned- with the wrong part. Mind you, each time they came out, both my husband or I took time off from our work to meet them. The part finally came in and they tried to make an appointment, but I explained that I was not taking any more extra time off and it would have to wait during my Winter Break the following week. They contacted our Home Warranty company and lied, saying that we canceled our appointment with them! (I LOST MY MIND!) The heater part was finally replaced and everything was said and done- over one month later in the middle of winter! In addition to this, the company NEVER returned our phone calls and their receptionist will only "Yes" you to death and never give your a straight answer. I would HIGHLY recommend that you steer clear of this company and the inevitable headache that they caused us!

Job was completed in one workday.   The workers were very courteous and professional, they cleaned area when finished and removed all old equipment.  The work was scheduled and completed within seven days from date of quotation visit.  They offered USA designed and assembled equipment of popular manufacture and a price better than two other larger HVAC contractors could offer.  The experience with this contractor was good.

I have three different companies to give me estiment.  The first company costs almost double of the other two companies but will use the higher price unit (two stage Carrier).  Nu-temp 's price is a little higher then the third company. I am not sure what unit the 3rd company will use. I decide to use nu-temp since it has been in the area for many years and the third company won't take care the permit.  I got an appointment within a week and just had my central air in time to beat the heat wave.  Workers are prompt (arrived around 9:30 AM) and polite.  Clean up and finish everything before 4:00 PM without taking lunch break.  The Unit I got is Bryant, 13 SEER, one stage ( I could get two stage for $700 more).  So far I am enjoying the central air and waiting for my bill for comparison.  The only negative point is that the worker didn't turn my hot water heater back on (or inform me that the hot water heater will be off because they have to shut off the gas).  So I didn't have hot water until one of my friend came to check for us two days latter.  Good thing we didn't call for professional repair first.

Nu-temp responded promptly to our initial service call. They worked our unit replacement into their schedule that same week and leveled the unit as soon as the weather allowed. They came out on Saturday to replace a fuse and rewire our York thermostat after we tried to use the optional resistance heating the next Friday night.
