Heating and Air Conditioning Service
On Wed Sept 9, 2014 CNT HVAC, Chris Long, checked system, found tubing flare leak on indoor unit. CNT reworked tubing flare, checked the system by vacuum and filled it with 4.8lbs of refrigerant. $412 total. ($75 for service call, $115 to repair tubing flare, vacuum and check for leaks + $216 for 4.8 lbs R410a refrigerant)
System seemed to work when CNT left, but less than 24 hours later the indoor unit froze up. An ice block. Then it quit cooling all together.
I call CNT back, they came on Friday Sept 11 and found entire mini split system was completely empty of refrigerant. They checked system with vacuum and find that the outdoor compressor unit was leaking. Basically with that, they did not want to try to repair the outdoor unit nor did they have any desire to give me a refund, partial or otherwise.
I asked for a $200 refund, considering the fact that R412a refrigerant costs only $4.80 per lb (he put $23.04 of refrigerant in the system but charged me $216 for said refrigerant) and the fact that I have spent money for NOTHING IN RETURN, but he refused. In fact, he claims he should have charged me MORE for coming back out!!! Can you believe this??
So as of now I have lost $412 for absolutely nothing!
It's a shame, we've been customers of his for several years, he did a couple other repairs for us and they went well. Why a businessman would treat repeat customers so poorly is beyond me. I just don't get it. I run my own camera repair business and cannot imagine treating my customers the way I have been treated.

Heating and Air Conditioning Service
I came from experiencing some very horrible service. When I called, he came out immediately, fixed the problem and even stuck up for me to other contractors that were trying to scam me. After cleaning out my ductwork and fixing my furnace he didn't charge me for the furnace repair at all. He only charged me for what I originally called him for, which was the duct cleaning.
