Mister Service

Our refrigerator stopped working on Friday night. A call to Angie's List helped us locate a repair service that made weekend housecalls. We contacted Mister Service. He arrived within an hour, quickly diagnosed that our computer board needed replacing, and replaced it with a new board, which he had in stock. He explained what he was doing while he diagnosed and made the repair, and was courteous and professional.  Regarding the price, this is the first time we have had a refrigerator repaired, so we have nothing to compare it to, but $320 for parts, labor, and such prompt service on a weekend seemed reasonable to us.

My refrigerator was not getting cold and the freezer was not freezing anything. I called Mister Service who came in and repaired my refrigerator. The repairman said that there was a blockage which prevented the refrigerator from operating properly. He cleared out the blockage and added Freon. The serviceman was honest and told me that if the compressor had gone bad that it would be better to buy a new refrigerator rather than waste the money on the repair.  He also told me a few things to look out for when purchasing a new refrigerator.  Fortunately, I won't have to do that any time soon. And an added plus is that my refrigerator gets colder than it did when it was new. Excellent service.

DO NOT USE!!!.  They came out on Xmas week, opened the fridge doors, then immediately went to the back of the unit ans said my board burnt out.  Didn't I smell it????  The parts & labor would be $600, of which I gave them a $200 deposit, they also told me that the temperature settings were too low.  I highered my settings and the fridge worked fine.  They called in Jan & told me they had the parts, I told them I didn't think I needed them but they told me my unit would fail.  They came out and I again told them I didn't think I needed parts, but he said that he could not return them and it was only a matter of time till it would fail.  I said do it.  He tried to remove the back of the inside of my fridge & was having a problem doing it, so he said that, on second thought he could return the parts & he would check with someone else on how to remove the back & he would call me that evening.  After he left, my fridge stopped getting cold,  I tried repeatedly to call him, left messages on the voice mail - no return calls.  I kept trying to call him but it went right to voicemail, I then had my daughter call from a different # and he answered.  She asked him how come he answered the phone for her and did not return my phone calls - he hung up on her.  Had another repairmen come out & was told that I didn't have any cold air because he closed the damper when he took the back off.  Oh yeah, he did get back to me and said that he would return my money for the parts, no check sent.  He may call this review bogus, but I have the phone records and receipts
