+ -1 moreBought kitchen appliance package at Best Buy in Fairless Hills. Also bought protection plan for each appliance. Our dishwasher broke two months ago and it has been a nightmare. First tech spent an hour watching YouTube videos then ordered a bunch of parts. Second tech installed 2 of 3 parts ordered. He said the third had nothing to do with or problem. The Tepair did not work. We spoke with Patrick the repair supervisor who assured us they’d get it fixed or give us a new machine. I did some research and suggested another new part. Patrick agreed with my diagnosis and ordered the part. Tech installed the part and the dishwasher worked better. We thought the problem was solved, but after a couple of weeks of use we realized it is still not drying the dishes as it did prior to breaking. The tech was out of ideas. Now that it is time to offer us a new machine, Patrick has disappeared and responds to to no calls or texts. Best Buy is not living up to the terms of the protection plan. We are stuck. We are filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau and PA Attorney General. We paid for a protection plan that guarantees repair or replacement. We were ripped off by Best Buy.
Description of Work: Dishwasher stopped drying dishes.

+ -1 moreI had previously taken my computer to another service provider to download data to an external drive after I spilled water on the computer. I subsequently thought that I did not have all the files on the external drive (I could not find them on the external drive). I took the computer to Best Buy to get them to help me. I was given a quote of $99 over the phone, and told it would take 1 to 2 days. I took my computer in, and the Geek Squad rep took my computer apart and downloaded the data for me within 30 minutes. Because the data actually was on the external drive - the repair person did not charge me (although he did spend 30 minutes helping me and coudl have charged me). He then helped me recycle my lap top at the same desk (I paid $10 for recycling fee for the screen, and got a $10 gift card in exchange). I am definitely going to give Best Buy my business in the future.
Description of Work: Recovery of data from a laptop that had water spilled on it.
