The problem turned out to be more complex than we had thought, but Pete just plugged away until he figured it out and got us up and running. I would have never figured it out so the fee we paid him was well worth it. A good guy, knowledgeable and reasonable. He's now become our "helpdesk" at home for our computer problems.

I contracted Pete to assemble a desktop PC for me. I selected and purchased all the necessary components online. Pete was very easy to work with. He was very flexible with his availability, insisting on coming to me to pick up all the parts, making the whole process very convenient. He was prompt for both our appointments, showing up exactly when he said he would. He also completed the assembly in a very timely fashion, completing the build AND delivering the machine to me in less than a business week, right in line with his estimate. I also had a few additional, specific parameters that I asked him affect, which he took care of with no problems. The wire management was very tidy. I have been monitoring the PC now for the past month with the CPUID's HWmonitor hardware utility and everything appears to and continues to be in order. Temps are good, software is updated as I asked, and BIOS settings are as they should be. Very pleased. There's a lot that could have gone wrong with this, but everything went smoothly and without event. That speaks for itself. Would use his services again without hesitation.

Mr Ferraro arrived on time and checked for the speed issues I was having with my laptop.After completely checking the laptop he determined that the laptop was fine with no viruses. The speed issue was with the wifi connection I was getting from Comcast. He suggested I call them and see what they had to say. I did this and Comcast suggested I get a wifi booster. I did purchase the booster and the speed has improved somewhat. I was very happy with the service Mr Ferraro performed since I was very close to ditching the laptop.

I made a wish list, including 27" touch screen, super fast speed, all in one printer with fax and photo capability and  with long lasting ink cartridge.  Mr. Ferraro called me several times to offer alternatives that would cost less, or features he thought I might not need.  He transferred all of my files and pictures to the new computer.    He then came to my home and set it all up for me.  I am very happy with my new computer and the service provided by Ferraro Computer Services.

Most importantly he saved all my files to an external hard drive as well as uploaded everything once laptop was fixed. I was soooo happy that all my pictures, school work etc was not lost. My computer is working great....and all that for $105. Saving my files alone was worth that and more.

Pete did a great job getting my computer working again he explained what he thought was the issue and also took the time to fix a monitor that I thought was a lost cause. I would have no issue using his services in the future or recommending him to others.

He showed up on time, everytime and was very patient.

He tried to debug the computer in my my home on the same day I called, but it needed more extensive scrubbing and a full restore.  He took my tower and all the software disks to his home office, and returned it two days later in full working order.  I only had to re-download a few software programs.  All data files are intact.  Pete was friendly and punctual, answered all my questions, and obviously did the job well.  His price was more than reasonable.  I'll happily recommend him to my Angie's List  friends.

I've been remiss in submitting this review (my  first on Angie's List).  It is hard to find all of the superlatives that Pete and Ferraro deserve.  Pete successfully rebuilt my computer within a few days, giving me status reports each day.  He returned my computer to me, hooked it back up and loaded all of my programs for which I had the disc.  Pete was professional, responsive, punctual and prompt - and he fixed my computer!   What more could I ask for?  Oh yeah, a great price for Pete's services!
Ferraro's services were a tremendous value.  Pete charged about $120 for the services he performed over the course of a week, which pleased me immensely.  His time and value added were worth much more than that.  I will definitely use him again for all of my computer service needs.

My son and I were attempting to build our first computer. When it failed to boot, I knew we were in trouble. I found Pete and scheduled an appointment. He arrived on time, and was able to diagnose the problem as a faulty motherboard. He was correct, as the replacement worked perfectly.

Checked on Angies list for a computer guru that had good ratings.  Decided to try Ferraro Computer Services since he was fairly local and had an A rating.  Called him yesterday afternoon and he set up an appointment to come out today between 1 and 1:30.  He was here about 1:15 which was great.  
He installed my new router and had everything working within an hour.  Super super nice guy!! Very knowledgeable about computers!! 
Will I use him again? Very definitely yes!!
I would give him a better rating than an A if I could!  Thank you Pete!!!

Had a terrible experience with Verizon following its nstallation on  August  3. 2012 . Verizon's internet security suite powereby McAfee had failed to activate causing Internet Explorer to  stop working and system shutdown. The system was now automatically restarting in advanced safe mode with disc check . Verizon tech support explained that as a result of McAfee's "fix" to its software in August "several" Verizon customers were affected and had been causing Internet Explorer to stop working.  I was instructed to call McAffe who after scanning remotely reported no viruses were found.  This result was puzzling due to the fact that Verizon was called following  an alert on my computer that a malicious adware/spyware had been detected.  McAfee scanned again then  uninstalled and then reinstalled security suite.  For a day or two, everything seemed resolved, then the message reappeared that the computer was at risk and I needed to activate the software.  McAfee referred me to tech support who in turn  referred me  advanced tech support for remote scanning to identify the problem.  Additionally, I was told to submit to Verizon any bill  for repairs if the problem could not be repaired by advanced tech.   Eight viruses were found on the computer and  attempts to download the virus removal tools were unsuccessful because Internet Explorer would stop working and the system kept shutting down.  I was then referred to the manufacturer.who in turn recommended that I take the computer to a local  repair shop. 
I  located Ferraro Computer Services on Angie's List and within hours, Mr. Ferrraro picked up the computer at my home, took it to his shop and diagnosed the problems.  He evem called the Geek Squad to see if my extended warranty would cover  repairs and  offered to deliver the computer to them at their Langhorne location.  Geek Squad  responded that they would have to send the computer out for repair and to expect  return in three weeks. On top of the fact that I had wasted $130 for Geek Squad Black Tie Coverage, I now would be without the computer for almost another month.   I  then decided to have Pete  do the repair.   Within three business days,  the computer was delivered to my home with new memory,   power switch, tower cover, and my files, printer software and a 30 day free trial anti-virus  program were installed.  
Surprise!!!!  Verizon informed me it would not reimburse me for repairs, but after considerable negotions  with the CS rep, who kept placing me on hold  to confer with her supervisor, Verizon eventually conceded and offered a  credit of $8/month for the nemonths as a "Valued Customert" or $96 total  for  three months of my aggravation to fix problems caused by their vendor, McAfee.   Whoops, almost forgot, Verizon also generously credied my account for $15.36 to  refund my account for payment of Verizon Security Suite  that failed to launch virus protection for my computer.
Although pleased with Comcast, my decision to switch to Verizon  was based solely  on an anticipated monthly saving of $15 which . turned out to be far off target by $25 (activation fee plus $5 for virus protection,  which by the way was included with Comcast service at no additional cost).   Before transferring back to Comcast,   I need time to recuperate from the almost daily walk through Verizon's maze of automated telephone menus  and  lengthy waiting periods before hearing a human voice with a foreign accent.   
In summary ;

•  1)  DON'T ever use McAfee antivirus software (they have a history dating to 2010 involving the above described problem).
•  2)  DON'T jump into selection of an internet provider until you've thoroughly checked out customer reviews/complaints.
•  3)  MOST IMPORTANTLY.....DO USE FERRARO COMPUTER SERVICE.  You'll find Mr. Ferraro  to be extremely knowledeable, professional and efficien

I think it went great.  He was very professional .

We had a good experience with Pete Ferraro.  He came over and did a good job for us.  He was here for a couple hours and I spent $99.  He did some network cabling and fixed up an issue that lingering.  He was good at communicating; I liked that he kept me in the loop.

Things went well with them. They fixed the problem.

Pete is a great computer techie and a very nice person. I have been using his services for about 2 years now. I found him on Angie's list and have always been happy with him.  He returns calls promptly, comes within a day or two of my calls and has always been able to solve any problem I have had.  His prices have been very reasonable. I have referred him to others who have also been happy with his services. I would highly recommend him.

Mr. Ferraro arrived on time. He listened to our concerns, tried a number of things on the computer, and then indicated he'd need to take the computer to his lab to resolve the issues. He called the next day to say the issues were resolved and asked when he could drop by with the computer. He was at our house shortly after. He hooked up the computer, told us what he had done and why, and showed us how the computer was working (MUCH better!!!).
We have worked with Mr. Ferraro before and would definitely use him again.
