We first hired a company (Oliver) to fix the burst pipe. They also installed antifreeze in the sprinkler system. Ever since then, we found the sprinkler head leak one after another. Finally, Oliver told us that our system was not good and they normally don't provide residential service. They told us to find other company that does residential service.
After some research, we found Marco from AFSA. Their service manager Tom is a very nice guy and never got annoyed by my multiple calls or inquiries. Tom sent their residential manager Brian to my house to check the problem and do an estimate. Brian paid great attention to details. He even found out a fake head! Because of these, we signed the contract with Marco to fix our system.
On the day of service, their master technician Mark came to our house. He first told me that the leak was due to bad quality of head. At first, I did not believe him. They replaced all of the heads, except the 3 heads that were replaced by Oliver. They also installed an expansion tank. The next week, they came to install the antifreeze agents. Mark was very careful and cautious.
After all antifreeze were filled, Marked stayed for another 30 minutes to ensure no leak. As this system has been a constant problem for us, I was so anxious and nervous that I kept asking him if there will be any problems (such as system failure) in the future. he kept comforting me. He told me based on the pipe system he had seen, the original installer did a decent job. He also assured me to call the office for any problem before he left.
It has been a month after the antifreeze was filled and we have not seen any leak. I guess they fixed the system!
Thank you, Marco.
