Scott was very thorough and advised my wife and I that we should follow him through out the entire inspection. Scott was a wealth of knowledge and very happy to answer any questions we had. Scott was clean, professional and well spoken. At no point was he anything but courteous. He made sure he had his shoes covered when inside the house and was respectful to the home owners property.

We hired Scott Freeman from Landmark Inspections to do our home inspection of a 100+ year old home that we're in the process of purchasing. Scott was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. During the inspection, he answered all of our (many!) questions, and took the time to explain everything in detail, which was extremely helpful as we are first time home buyers. Due to my tight timeline, the week before my home inspection Scott coordinated my Radon test to ensure the test results were back in time for my AOS deadline to the Seller. Scott was very thorough. He took the time to educate me on routine maintenance to keep my home in good working order ands explained all the issues he found in the house. He also provided a pre-settlement checklist and a convenient guide for when I move in on what I can do to keep my home safe from hazards and in good working order through regular maintenance. First time home owner here, I'd never been through the home inspection process before so I wasn't sure what to expect. Scott Freeman from Landmark made my first experience a pleasant and informative one. Scott was extremely professional, knowledgable and took the time to answer any question I had. When Scott arrived on site (5 mins early) he came prepared with a binder for me that outlined the inspection process. The binder contained a bunch of useful tips and tricks for home maintenance and (my personal favorite) a pre-closing walk through checklist. This is just one example of how Scott would go above and beyond the scope of work. As Scott made his way through the inspection process he made sure I understood the outcome of each test and what it meant for me as the buyer. He took his time and did not progress until he was completely satisfied with the result of a test; sometimes running it multiple times to ensure he had a accurate result. As an example of thoroughness, when Scott was testing the automatic garage door opener he didn?t just make sure it functioned. He tested the eyes to verified that it stopped closing, he tested the manual override and even stood under it while it was closing to test the pressure sensors. When he discovered a problem that needed to be included in the report he took plenty of pictures that clearly illustrated the issue. These pictures were later used in my inspection report located next to detailed notes explaining why it is an issue and why it should be fixed. I could write an entire review on the report alone; clear, concise and thorough. Bottom line, when I left the inspection process I felt confident in the results and Scott?s work. I even walked away with a little extra knowledge on home ownership. I would highly recommend Scott for home inspections.

Saved us from making the biggest mistake of our lives! We were going to purchase a new home and during our home inspection Scott noticed that the basement wall was bowing. Little did we know behind the sheetrock there was a huge foundation crack. Thank Goodness he caught this or the cost to repair it would have been tens of thousands. Scott was very thorough with the inspection pointing out things that we would not have noticed until it was to late. He went over ever aspect of the home and included a nice binder full of helpful information to new home buyers. Do not pass up the opportunity to have Scott do your home inspection you won't regret it.

Mr. Freeman was already at the property to be inspected when I arrived and I have been taught to arrive 15 minutes early for appointments. I was greeted courteously and had a full explanation along with a binder filled with detailed information about what to expect from his services. Mr. Freeman had all the appropriate tools with him and started the inspection on the roof even though it was an extremely cold snow flurry day in Jersey. After each section of the house was methodically inspected, Mr. Freeman filled me in with his findings, I was kept informed about the inspection and felt confident that a top to bottom inspection was being performed. Before the inspection, Mr. Freeman promptly returned my telephone call and explained what to expect during the inspection and the time frame. I found this to be most helpful as I was bringing my 9 month old grandson with me and needed to have plenty of babas, finger food and diapers with me. What impressed me the most about this house inspection was Mr. Freeman himself. It is difficult to find respectful and reliable workmen and Mr. Freeman is way above the average worker you would have in your house. I would recommend Mr. Freeman to others especially women who may have to be at the inspection alone due to life circumstances. I received the results of the home inspection within two days of the inspection and was able to have my relator contact the sellers for necessary safety issue repairs. We are working under a tight timeline for a quick closing, and Mr. Freeman provided his services within days of the seller and my husband and I signing the sales agreement. Mr. Freeman provided competent services and did a job well done.

Scott was very professional, and thorough! It was raining that day, and he had shoe covers to prevent tracking dirt/rain into the house. Informed me of standout concerns. Explained everything in a manner in which I could understand. Advised me on which concerns might want to be addressed sooner than others. Took pictures to record areas of possible concerns. Very polite and professional to tenants who were still in the house at the time of inspection. Inspected house from top to bottom, inside and out. Gave me his number and instructed me to call with any questions that I might think of after the inspection. Followed up with phone call and report sent to me online, of complete inspection. Gave me name and number, of another home related service provider, that I might use to evaluate some of the serious concerns of the house.

This is the 3rd time I've had Landmark inspect a home for me. To say that I'm a satisfied customer is an understatement. Scott is a true professional and expert in his field. He has never rushed through the process or left me with unanswered questions. I hope that this will be my last move, but if not, there's no doubt who my home inspector will always be!

There is nothing bad that I can say about the services provided by Scott at Landmark Inspections! From the first phone call, he was kind and courteous, and responsive. Any time we had to call back to work out scheduling, he answered the call or called back right away within a few minutes. This was very refreshing given our previous experiences trying to schedule all the appointments needed to buy and sell a house. We were purchasing a new house and so needed to schedule something quickly within the 10 day window and he was very flexible in working with us on scheduling. Scott showed up early to the appointment, and got right to work. He was very thorough in his inspection and patient in taking the time to explain to us every single thing he was checking and any issues he found. His report after the inspection was impeccable, delivered within two days, and included helpful pictures with arrows pointing out every issue detected. We also loved that he offered radon testing, as well as setting up a WDI inspection through another company - we literally did not have to lift a finger to schedule the WDI inspection, Scott did everything to set that up. We felt the pricing for all 3 tests was extremely fair based on other quotes we were receiving at the time. We would absolutely use Landmark Inspections again and recommend them to anyone!

I had a very good experience with Scott Freeman of Landmark. He immediately took $50 off the bill when he realized that he didn't have to inspect the the roof and the siding because they were taken care of by the Condo Assn. He did not have to make the deduction, I would have never known. Scott was very professional during the entire inspection. He answered all my questions with great detail.
