William Pyne received a master's degree in business administration and economics from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. With a background in construction, Pyne wanted to remain in an outdoor profession after graduation. In 1993, Pyne purchased a small landscape business in Chester County. He has grown the business into Dooley-Pyne Landscape Co., Inc, headquartered in Exton, PA. The company has emerged into on of the leading landscape businesses in the Delaware Valley today. For almost 20 years, Dooley-Pyne Landscape Co., Inc. has been a leader in the lawn and landscape industry providing professional grade lawn care, landscape and hardscape services to residential and commercial properties in Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties. Terrible.  They have a good sales staff and make you feel very comfortable with their professionalism.  However, the workers they send out are given very general instructions and appear to have no room to make on site decisions. 

The edging around our gardens and trees was generally good.  However as the day progressed the work became shoddy.  The areas around the side of the house and back of the house were horribly edged.  The edging was jagged and shallow.

The pruning of our bushes was an absolute mess.  They trimmed a beautifully rounded rhododendron to a tall, thin, rectangular mess with two sides being left completely bare with no leaf coverage.  Ditto with our row of azaleas.  They trimmed the front of the azaleas to the bare branches.  They form a row in the front of the house and are now an embarrassment.

DO NOT under any circumstances hire this company.  They ruined my landscaping.

Dooley Pyne ("DP") represents all that is wrong with business today. DO NOT employ them under any condition. They are unethical and dismiss the idea of DP was retained by my HOA to provide exclusive snow removal services. In late January after one of this season's many snows, my friend went out to move her car from a guest parking spot and noticed a large dent and gash. A on scene police officer and an auto body shop both stated the ~$6,000 damage was clearly caused by a plow. I contacted DP and they stated that since their was no eye witness and no video survelliance, they denied any wrong doing. Please note, DP often clears the snow from 2 to 5 am so it is often difficult to observe their work. After this incident, I did view their workers "cowboying" it on their ATV plows. There is no reason to ever employ a firm that first looks to run from responsibility. Just add this to your list. They are an absolutely shameful firm.
