Services we offer
A doula understands the physiology of birth and the emotional needs a woman in labor may have. I will help to assist the woman in preparing for and carrying out her plans for labor and delivery. I will stay with the woman throughout her labor and delivery. I will provide emotional support, physical comfort measures and an objective viewpoint. I will also provide lactation consultations aas well as varrious postpartum services for you and your family.
Services we don't offer
~ A doula does not perform clinical tasks such as blood pressure checks, fetal heart rate checks, vaginal exams , etc... I am there to provide physical comfort and emotional support only! A doula does not make decisions for you. I will help you get the information necessary to make an informed decision. I will not speak to staff on your behalf regarding your health care decisions being made. I will not provide medical intervensions such as blood pressure checks or internal exams.
