Buyer beware just got took they got me good I recently purchased quartz countertops from Lowe’s. I was informed that I would need to arrange for plumbing and gas disconnection and reconnection, which I did. However, issues arose with the measurements for the kitchen island after the electrical outlets were removed (not disconnected) and the decorative molding was taken off. When the contractor returned to complete the installation of the island countertop, they failed to reinstall the outlets or the molding. Upon asking, I was told that the contractor does not handle electrical work or decorative molding. I contacted Lowe’s, and they stated the contractor had indicated this was outlined in the contract—implying it was my responsibility for not reading the fine print more closely. They’re right—it was my mistake to assume that by choosing Lowe’s, I would be protected from incomplete or substandard work. I purchased countertops, a cooktop, and a sink, but this experience has made it likely that this will be my last purchase from Lowe’s. Please help spread the word—especially to fellow military families and disabled veterans—so others are aware and can make informed decisions. Contractor was BC Stone Inc, address: 2161 Salem Industrial Blvd Salem, VA 24153

I'm sorry but we never used the individual for our job. Never had him to the house and never had him give any quotes

They were not good. They damaged one of the cabinets and would not replace it. They were great until it got damaged and then they washed their hands of us. We bought them through Lowe's and the lady at Lowe's was great. She told me that I was going to have to settle for that. They accidently put a nail through it and I didn't find it until after they left and they would not come back and fix it. It took them three months, we had not kitchen. We had to wait another month or a guy to come out and put putty in the damaged cabinet. All he did was put putty in it, dry it, and sand it. I do love my kitchen.

The measurement, manufacture and installation went smoothly with no complications.  The entire crew from the individual who "plotted" the measurements to the installers were friendly, courteous and professional.  All communication with the company was

pleasant and informative.  The installation crew tarped the floors and took appropriate steps to cause no damage or leave any mess.  I was impressed with the attention to detail and quality of the installation.  The crew was informative and answered any questions asked.  The entire experience dealing with this company was outstanding.

We found BC through the Costco countertop program. They were very easy and professional to work with. There was good communication throughout the entire process. Every person we met with along the way (salesman, template maker and installers) were very punctual and nice. The entire process took about 3-4 weeks.
They took our sink, faucet and soap dispenser with them to ensure a good fit and returned them all in perfect shape. Installation went very smoothly and we're very happy with the counters.

We picked out the color we wanted at Lowes. B.C. Stone set someone out to do the measuring. They were on time and very professional. We went to their warehouse to pick out the slab. They gave us a time table when it would be done--called when it was done and worked with us on a delivery time that worked for us. They were very proficient installing it and answered any questions we had.

My husband and I had done comparison pricing for granite counter tops.  I feel we really got the most for our buck with BC Stone.  We had a good experience from the beginning.  After the initial phone call, a gentleman came to our home to discuss the process and showed us samples. He also measured and gave us a price.  The samples were quite small so we asked if we could go to Everett and see larger slabs.  We were welcomed by a young man who was so nice. They actually moved slabs of granite so I could be sure of WHAT I REALLY WANTED!  We were also able to see the display of all the different sizes of sinks that I could choose.   After that, a date was set for exact measuringFrom there, a date was set for the installation.    They called in advance to confirm.  When the day arrived, the workers were punctual, neat and friendly.  I t was all completed in about 4 hoursThey did not charge a thing until the job was complete and we were satisfied.

They were great to work with.  We found them through another kitchen company than the one we actually used.  They honored their price and was $3,000 less than our kitchen companies price for the exact same granite.  There was a small issue as the person who template the counter top measured one section incorrectly by 1/4 of an inch.  Which caused our stove to appear off center and slightly crooked.  Without hesitation they sent someone out to evaluate the issue and gave a new piece of granite and made it right.  Top notch customer service and I would hire again.

We contracted BC Stone through Costco. The price was significantly (over 33%) less than two other bids. After we called Costco we were promptly contacted by a salesman, who scheduled a visit to our home just a couple of days later. We selected colors from among his samples. When he called back with prices he told us that they had partial sheets in both colors, and that the price was lower as a result. We signed an agreement as a Costco special order. Costco took our credit card information, but did not process the order until installation. There was no downpayment.
BC Stone called shortly afterwards to schedule a visit by one of their templaters. There was about a 3 week lag before they had an open date. When the templater arrived he took measurements of the vanities and the shower threshold, and discussed the edge treatment. We opted for a basic bevel edge. He took a sink and faucet with him so their dimensions could be considered in the layout process.
They called a few days later to schedule the installation. There was a 3.5 week gap between templating and installation; they are inexpensive but not fast. The installers were clearly experienced. They ground the rim of the sinks prior to undermounting them (to make sure there was clearance with the vanity and the faucet connections, and used a strong epoxy cement to fasten the sinks to the underside of the countertop.
They centered the sinks by eye within the cutout. In one case the sink was rotated so the logo was slightly off center, and as a result doesn't line up directly under the faucet. I wish they had been more precise. They caulked all seams very nicely..
I was particularly pleased with the quality of the fabrication; the countertops and the shower threshold all look great.

The representative came to our home.. I got their name and service thru Costco. The rep spent over two hours   with us and was very helpful in selecting the color of the granite.. The work crew removed the old counter top and installed the new granite one.without mishap  I had explored four granite companies before deciding on B.C>.Stone. I'm very happy with their services and top quality  products.

They were a little difficult to schedule a consultation with. You have to schedule really far out, it was 10-14 days before they could even come out and then it is another 3 weeks before they can do the countertops.

I bought the countertops through a store but they did the installation. The pricing was through the store. They were pretty punctual. They had to come out several times, to reinstall the backsplash that was not put on properly. It took multiple trips afterwards just to get that fixed. I don't know if there is a real alternative with the countertops because you think that they would come out the next week but then there is a lot of cutting and things. I remember that there were periods of times where I had to wait in between before we got together. Once they said that they would be there they were there. I guess that I will use them again in the future but since they are countertops, once you have those in then it is done.

BC Stone was very easy to work with throughout the sales process, templating and installation. I received exceptional customer service and the quality of my job is unmatched. When the project manager at the plant realized that I may have received incorrect information from the gentleman that took the measurements, he called me immediately to manage my expectations. We made a decision on where to place the seam in the table and when the table and countertops were installed, I literally could not see the seam without searching for about a minute. BC Stone is very customer service oriented and their quality is exceptional. I highly recommend the company.

Their quote was accurate. They weren't the cheapest and they weren't the most expensive, but we were happy with the price. We were able to get on their schedule very quickly. They were prompt, professional, fast, clean, and pleasant to work with.

They called a few weeks later on a Saturday and asked if they could come install that Monday. My wife answered the phone and said that was fine, not realizing we were responsible for removing the existing counter. So we had to spend most of Sunday taking out the counter (it turned out to be a huge chore) and disconnecting everything ourselves. When the installers arrived, it turned out that the cabinets were apparently not perfectly level. Their initial stance was that we, not they, were responsible for placing the necessary shims. That's something I wouldn't have known how to do. However, our relative intervened, and the BC guys relented and did it themselves. Otherwise, the installation was competently done. It wasn't a terrible experience by any means and the final result was good. But there were enough hassles along the way that I'd be disinclined to use them again.

EXCELLENT! MEASURED AFTER CABINETS WERE COMPLETE. INSTALLED ONE TIME, BUT FORGOT TO DRILL HOLE FOR GARBAGE DISPOSAL. RETURNED IMMEDIATELY TO ADDRESS ISSUE.
