We had a a need for repair on our soapstone countertop. I called up Top It Off, and Jeffrey Makkos was there to help me right away. He had a guy come out in less than 2 hours! Colton was professional and did a fantastic job. Thank you so much!

We were really looking forward to the master bathroom vanity and the upstairs quest bath vanity since we used this company to install our granite in our kitchen. Ray Zediker was wonderful to work with and the
granite tops are great, Ray went out of his way to accommodate us.
When the bathroom vanities arrived there was a problem with the master bath cabinet . The granite top depth was cut too short to fit the vanity so it had to be taken back to the shop to be cut. I was totally against this. My husband didn't think it would hurt anything so he allowed it. The vanity itself was not brought into the house so I did not get to see it. The upstairs vanity was installed that day however they were here until early evening. This vanity is great I like it very much.
The master bath vanity is another story We had given the company a drawer from our antique white bedroom suite so they could match the bathroom vanity. I was not home when the vanity was installed and my husband is color blind. When I saw the vanity I cried it was nothing like the bedroom furniture it was washed with dark gray stain. There is no gray in our bedroom furniture.
There were multiple problems with the cabinet; the outlet that was installed in the original vanity which was in the front of the
cabinet so you could easily plug in your hair dryer it is now in the back. The next problem is there was an outlet on the side of the
cabinet that was flush with the cabinet they installed the outlet but it has quite a gap. Since they chose to cut the cabinet the cabinet glides that sit on the bottom so you can slide your bins in and out won't fit. And the real problem was the cabinet has a furnace register in the front which they did not allow for ( it had to be cut on site) and because of the cabinet being cut it wouldn't line up, they did not even try to fix this they left the register vent open and expelling air into the cabinet. I would not have paid them
but my husband did. We now have hired a contractor to come in and repair all of these issues with the exception of the color of the cabinet.
It took us a while to get a response from the owner and when my husband talked to him about the stain and the problems
with the installation he replied he could do nothing to fix the color, the furnace vent and outlets, etc. were not addressed.

Mr. Zedicker at Top it Off was far and away my favorite contractor in our entire kitchen installation! He was highly professional, prompt, courteous, and very very helpful. There were many delays in our kitchen introduced by our primary contractor and Top it Off not only kindly held our materials for close to a year but even after they had been on hold for over nine months Mr. Zedicker took it upon himself to contact me to let me know that they had gotten in new materials which he thought I might like even better (remember that our materials were on hold for nine months and therefore he had probably lost sales on those while waiting for us)! He invited me to come out and see them and he was right, so he just switched out our materials graciously, no complaints, admonishments, or anything. He came when scheduled, his materials and workmanship were beautiful, his installers were nice and professional. He even came shortly after installation to bore an additional hole for faucets that I had miscalculated, no charge, no complaint. If I had future countertop needs he would be the first person I would call (they are one of the few places that do vermont soapstone but also have a large and beautiful selection of granite). I would unhesitantly recommend this company.

Granite - With the help of Top It Off''s General Manager Ray Zediker, my wife chose the granite slab from which our counter tops would be taken. About a week later, Nick came to the house to measure for the cutting of the granite and the installation. Fairly soon after that, Nick and Frank came with the pieces to do the installation. We had what amounted to two areas where the granite was installed. The main area was along the main counter and the other was on the cook-top island From beginning to end the entire operation went without a hitch. The pieces fit precisely, the cut-outs were right on, the job looks great, and I defy you to find the splice. And, also of great importance, Ray was always reachable and accommodating; and Nick and Frank were great tradesmen as well as good people.
Back Splash - Top It Off arranged for a sub to accomplish the installation of the back splash. We provided the tile, inserts, and with minor exceptions the installation materials. The installation was accomplished as scheduled and is a first class job.

We spent about $1500 on that work. We had a good experience with them. The quality and installation was good and the product was excellent. We went to their store to pick out the product and went there pretty much knowing what we wanted. We had a very tight time frame when we had the countertops installed and they were very accommodating with us even though they were busy.

It was wonderful working with Top It Off. We wanted the work done quickly; other kitchen/bath companies couldn't even talk to us for a couple of weeks. Their location is a little out of the way, but well worth the trip. We were treated so nicely. They did quotes for us immediately. They escorted us out back where they have these beautiful pieces of granite to chose from. They knew that additional bracing would be required on the island and we brought in a cabinet drawer so they could match the wood - it does, perfectly. Their installers were prompt and polite and they even fixed the sink installation we tried doing ourselves. We will definitely being going back to them when we are ready to replace the rest of the counter tops in the kitchen. They are also cabinetmakers and the items they had in their showroom were gorgeous!

We originally went to Top it off to buy granite counters, but when we saw the beauty of the custom cabinetry of Beahm and Sons we got an estimate for cabinetry as well. Based on the comparability of the price for the cabinets (with other places like Patete, Manor House) and on the ability to get exactly what we wanted, we chose Beahm and Son. We worked with Rick Beahm, the owner, on selecting the granite, the style of cabinets, the stains, hardware, etc. Rick was great to work with during the design and selection process. He even ordered a new knife to help us get the cabinet style we wanted. The work was done in the time frame that they indicated... and when the cabinets were delivered, we noticed a problem with the custom pantry (wrong size of shelf), the work was redone within the week. The finished product - both cabinetry and granite - are gorgeous. Our only problem occurred with one of the drawers (a bottle draw), which did not work smoothly. Adjustments were made about a month after the installation, but still did not work. New tracks were ordered, and 2 times entirely new drawers were made and reinstalled. Although they continued to work to correct the problem, the length of time that we had to wait between attempts were too long in my opinion. This would not have bothered me if communication would have been better.... an email saying - we're still working, but we won't be done for a month - is better than just wondering for a month what was going on. In the end, with the exception of this drawer, we love our new kitchen; this drawer is not what we expected or wanted, but we've made it work. The estimate for the work was EXCELLENT. Each cabinet frame, cabinet door, knob, granite, etc was broken down individually and we knew exactly what we were paying for. We received 3 other estimates from kitchen/bath contractors and none of them provided this level of detail (and the totals were all very similar). Another great aspect of Top it Off compared to the other places we visited, was the ability to see all the granite slabs instead of tiny squares of granite. I know eventually you get to see the entire granite slab when working with the other companies, but by then you've already picked your stains, floor, backsplash etc, so if you don't like the granite... you may have to go back to the drawing board! Also, Top It Off, had unusual finishes (matte and shiny), a lot of different granites (we chose a granite that we hadn't seen at the other places) and also an edge that no one else had. This company has quality materials and quality workmanship!

Overall, the job went smoothly. The countertop was originally not cut short enough. The workmen took it back to the shop and returned with it the same day, even though it meant they didn't finish until 6:30 p.m. Two of the jobs, the air vent and the pocket door pocket, required a great deal of ingenuity and effort, however, the fellows who spent the week here refused to give up until they had a satisfactory solution. Both gentlemen were a pleasure to have around. They laid a drop cloth as they walked in to keep the dirt they tracked in to a minimum, took their trash from lunch with them until I told them to leave it here, minimized the amount of time the water had to be turned off and/or the sink unavailable and cleaned up the work area every day. We were without use of the sink for only one night of the 5-day project and barely noticed the times we were without water. They even let the dog in and out and threw a ball for him.

I was very pleased with them because their actual price ended up being even lower than the quote. They were personable, professional, and very helpful. They kept in good contact with me throughout the job and everything looks great now.

INSTALLED GORGEOUS SOAPSTONE COUNTERTOPS FOR KITCHEN REMODEL. FIELD PEOPLE ARE EXCELLENT: PROFESSIONAL, FRIENDLY, VERY HELPFUL. THEY WORKED WITH ME TO FIGURE OUT A WAY TO INSTALL THE SINK AND FAUCET, WHICH WAS A VERY TIGHT SQUEEZE, EVEN THOUGH THE BOSS IN THE OFFICE SAID IT COULDN'T BE DONE AND THAT I NEEDED TO BUY ANOTHER SINK. ONE SMALL SECTION OF COUNTERTOP NEEDED TO BE RECUT; THEY WERE BACK THE VERY NEXT DAY TO INSTALL IT TO ENSURE THAT WE STAYED ON SCHEDULE. IT WAS A LITTLE DIFFICULT DEALING WITH THE FOLKS IN THE OFFICE -- THEY WOULDN'T COMMIT TO A FIRM INSTALL DATE -- BUT THE END PRODUCT WAS MORE THAN WORTH THE RUNAROUND. TOP IT OFF'S PRICE WAS BETTER THAN ALL OF THE WELL-KNOWN EAST COAST SOAPSTONE SUPPLIERS, AND SEVERAL LOCAL FABRICATORS. AND THE RESULTS ARE JUST BEAUTIFUL!
