Disappointing Job Completion. Walt's crew came out in mid April (2025) to replace the concrete slab/stoop in front of our door. The crew completed the job within two days once it was scheduled; another person came back at a later date to remove the forms. The top edge and sides of the slab have a nice, uniform look. However, the entire bottom edge was left jagged. The previous slab which they replaced had a smooth, uniform bottom edge. I texted Walt with my concern about the jagged condition the bottom edge of the new slab/stoop was left in. Walt told me the only thing he would be able to do is send someone out with a grinder. That was in May. To date, no one has come out from Stonewall Excavation, LLC. No texts, no calls. I gave ample time for someone to come out. I texted Walt in July to confirm that someone would indeed be coming by to do the grinding. He didn't respond to my texts. Guess he blew it off.

Very prompt, returned every call and email quickly. Very professional, kept the worksite clean and organized, cleaned up nicely after completion of the job. They also were very clear and thorough when explaining things and answering questions, and they never got annoyed by multiple questions. Project was to prepare the site for the installation of a storage shed. It involved some excavating in order to level the site. The guys worked steadily and efficiently in a light drizzle to complete the work.

Project was removing a retaining wall and grading the landscape. They called back immediately and gave an estimate within a week.

The job was small so I anticipated completion to be must faster than it occurred. I did not think the job would require 4 return trips. The cleanup was lacking.

Yes, I did hire Stonewall Excavation and they did a wonderful job. It was a small job and Walter sent two of his crew. They were done in 2 days. Did what they said they would do and cleaned up. I would hire them again. As a matter of fact, I may have another small job that I will hire them for next year.

The project was top notch. The work was done at a commercial site. One of my three tenants said the crew did a phenominal job. Not only did they show up on time, but they finished the project early to accommodate our schedule. The final project turned out great at reasonable cost. Courteous, professional, and down to earth! They replaced an old retaining wall at my home with the new versa-loc wall to keep our backyard from sliding down, the wall looks great once they were finished, we did hit some bumps in the road but these guys were great at smoothing everything out. Good to work with and would've finished the job much faster if the weather had been cooperative. Would recommend them.

Walter is a professional. Called many companies, no response . Walter called back immediately and came when he said he would. Extremely responsible and does great quality work.

They are hard workers that did a very good job that was in a hard place to get to and alot of the digging had to be done by hand. This wall was 120' long and from 3' to 8' high. My neighbors saw the type of work they were doing and he got some other work in the area. I plan on getting him to do another wall in the spring.
