Overcharged for labor at New Motors Subaru service center for routine replacement of brake pads and rotors on front and rear Forester wheels. I was there for exactly 94 minutes (from pull up to drive away) and labor charges were $248. It looks like they blindly applied "book estimate" instead of "real time" spent on my car. Not fair, especially since their hourly rate is already higher than most doctors, lawyers and college professors! Not recommended.

Called late afternoon of a day they were open 'til 9pm and had to leave a message after a recording promising a call back. The call came next day while i was on my way to a garage who did it all for me.

They are pretty good and professional. Normally their prices are high for car repairs. I didn't have to pay for the recall. I have a service contract on my car. They have a nice waiting room and everybody there is friendly. I would use them again.

Great service with helpful people behind the counter. They do excellent work but at a steep price. The price for parts is hard to justify. They are the only Subaru dealer in the area and so they have a monopoly on the Erie market. Thankfully Subaru's are virtually bullet proof so repairs are generally infrequent. Otherwise with the high cost of repairs I would not own a Subaru.

The service manager, Derrick Ulmer, was always extremely pleasant and welcoming. I had always enjoyed working with him because he showed true customer service. but he was not the one doing the work. After inspecting my vehicle they determined that I has signifigant amounts of oil in my coolant system. They gave me a long list of ways to remedy the situation. My car was not yet paid off, so it seemed at the time to make all necessary repairs was my best option. Once it was all said and done, the total bill was in the upwards range of $3500! They assured me that the problems had been corrected and that I should bring it back for an oil change at the 5,000 mile mark and at that time they would reflush my coolant lines. The next day my alternator went. This was to cost an additional $500.They did end up only charging for an aftermarket part that time (No Labor). When I brought it back for the oil change, I was also in need of my annual inspection, which they performed. During this process, they discover....more oil leaking into my coolant system. Mr Ulmer insisted that I bring the vehicle back so that they could diagnose ($98.00) the problem AGAIN! They DID NOT FLUSH my coolant system at all. Approximately 14 months later, I received a letter in the mail regarding my Passat. The letter stated that there was a class action lawsuit due to oil sludge buildup. I called New Motors to see if my problems could be attributed to oil sludge lawsuit and to see if I would be reimbersed for all of the repairs, including the new was. They assured my that my car fell into that catagory and I should make and appointment to rectify the situation. After I drove all the way out there, Mr. Ulmer tells me that my repairs had nothing to do with the settement. That's when I asked what repsonsibility they had since I just spent almost $4,000 for the same repair. Derrick stated that I would have to pay the diagnostic and for any repairs. They took no blame. When I was informed of this I took my car from the garage and left. I have not dealt with them sicnce.
