LAKEVIEW AUTO SALES

Their finance manager found me a good loan with Chase Bank but told me the bank required the sales tax be paid when purchasing the vehicle as part of the loan/down payment. I thought this was very strange since the sales tax would normally be paid at the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles. The manager assured me this was a requirement and the bank would send me a check payable to the NYS DMV in the amount of the sales tax. After two weeks I contacted Chase and asked when I would be receiving the check. Chase said - what check? This was not their policy and has never been their policy, they new nothing about it. With the help of Chase Banks fraud department, I received a refund for my sales tax from Lakeview Resale. It took a couple weeks. The day after I purchased the car, the service engine light came on. I took the car to the Audi dealer and was told it needed a $1226.00 electronic control unit. I also had to replace the pads and rotors, headlight and have the radio repaired within the first week of ownership. For my trouble Lakeview Resale promised me a $500.00 refund. When the car was purchased the car was lacking one key. Lakeview said they would replace it and mail it to me. After nine weeks of b******* I received an envelope with a note. The note said they were sorry, the key and $500.00 check were enclosed. The key was enclosed but no check. It has become an exercise in futility to attempt to get my check. Also, Audi can replace a key in three days, Lakeview took nine weeks. I also had a problem obtaining a clear title. It took six weeks for them to send it. For two weeks they claimed they had it on their desk but repeatedly apologized for not having the time to mail it. Because of this my temporary registration ran out and I was driving the car illegally. I can document all my claims. Beware, if you decide to do business with these people. They still owe me $500.00.
