So I was woken in the middle of the night to the smell of gas in the house. Being a blind veteran it was very difficult for me to find where exactly the leak was and I had tried to find the shut off valve with no luck. I called Jack’s and they sent out Justin. Justin was simply amazing he took time after finding the shut off valves and what should’ve been there if it wasn’t there turned off the gas and made it safe for me for the rest of the evening and we made plans for them to return the next morning at that point he spent many hours here doing what had to be done because the pipes were just so bad. I can’t think Justin and Jack’s Plumbing enough because simply I feel safe in my home. That is one of the most important things to me is being and feeling safe in my home. So my simple review to them is this great customer care amazing services and attention in detail Plus they really cleaned up well after themselves

Just Ok overall. Gave an initial price for install only work, he didn't inspected unit when quoting price. Then when time came to install, tried to change price for missing values he said should have been with water heater. I had purchased water heater direct from Manufacturer through Direct Buy club just needed Professional install to maintain warranty. I would say quality was just ok, as it looks like I installed it myself and I'm no plumber but could have done this level of work.

Very professional and courteous. Mike and Eric were awesome. Work was performed much better then any other work I've had done by other companies in erie.

H Jack Langer "fixed" our sewer problem last year for 6k. We requested a COMPLETE job since we were borrowing the money. Three call backs later (call backs were almost another thousand), they are telling us they need an addl 4 to 6 thousand to complete the job, again.

Had a problem with the furnace and called Langer because we'd had a good experience with them on some plumbing years ago.
They're responsive and they're available; no quibbles about that. But,...
The furnace was flashing the code for a defective pressure switch. The Carrier dealer was closed. He made some calls, left and came back, said he'd tried to get the part. Returned Monday and put it in. That's it.
Five hundred and eighty nine dollars! Beware, folks.

I live in a mobil home outside Erie. I am 73 years old..so no kid. I had my home winterized, water drained and turned back back on in late April, I guess some of debris clogged the faceut  so I had very little water on the hot side coming. out,  It is a brand new faucet , when the man that winterizes the house had replaced the existing one.. so it new.. I did not know how to open it up and clean it out. so I called  H Jack Langer out of the yellow pages. Told him my problem, Little water comming on the hot side and weak on the cold side..  
He/they,,,,, yes two plumbers with a white bucket,,  they thought it was a clogged drain.. did not listen!  anyhow . I told him the problem even told him , in my opinion,  that it had debris  in the facuet but I did not know how to access it..
I told him the little  turn off vavle under the sink was not shutting it off all the way and he would have to use the main. I showed him where was located under the home.. they removed a few sections of skirthing an  shut of the main. They never replaced the skirting  they just left it open. I had to get the park man to put it back
 The only problem was a clogged diverter.. ( the little plastic thing that diverts the flow to the hand held sprayer was clogged}  I told them not to put it back, as we hardly use it..)  for this they ( I guess they were both on the clock)  stayed in my house for at least a hour,  they made a big dean of changing the washer on the little turn off valve under the sink . 
What I did think was unprofessional was they did not ask to check the water pressure in one of the bathrooms.. I had to show what I expected..at least as good as the rest of the home,  we never have much  pressure in the trailer park anyhow..
 the plumbers were nice enough and clean.. but I feel $252.00 expensive  
I should have got some sort "what will this cost me" before  and bids .. but I thought ; a small problem. 
the guy put back the siding the next day. so I am hoping skunks or coons made a home under my home. and they never told me the would not replace it... will I use them again  NO!
 

Called office at 1:00 PM stating that sump pump was inoperable, but replacement was not urgent because a back-up pump was operating.Was called at 2:30 PM and told that a plumber was enroute. Job was completed by 4:00 PM. Plumber was very efficient and knowledgeable and left work site very clean.

Another reviewer termed Langer as "thief" and I wholeheartedly agree!  I hope I can save others from the nightmare we experienced by sharing these details.  On a Saturday in January, we suddenly had no water.  Because it was a weekend, we called the "emergency" phone number for H. Jack Langer.  His advertisements claim that there is no extra charge for weekend service .  Well, that may be true in the strictest sense, but it cost us lots extra because the plumber that came to the house was very new and inexperienced. After 2 hours in our basement and numerous phonecalls for guidance, a "master plumber" arrived.  He diagnosed the problem as a failed foot valve (in the well).  He also assured us that we would not be billed for the 2+ hours of the young plumber's time when they returned to replace the valve on Monday.  The crew arrived on Monday, as scheduled, but with NO TOOLS and NO FOOT VALVE.  While they were gone to get tools and the necessary foot valve, the backhoe arrived.  Everyone stood around and waited for the plumbers to return.  Little did we know that we were being billed for the backhoe's hourly rate, as well as three plumbers' hourly rate, while we all waited.  The job was still not finished on Monday and two plumbers returned on Tuesday.  After nearly 4 days without water, the job was finally done and we got the bill.  I was shocked to see all of the hours for which we were charged, including waiting because the crew showed up unprepared and the 2+ hours of the original (inexperienced) plumber's time on Saturday.  I called the office number and spoke with Jack Langer himself.  I got nowhere and, upon expressing my dissatisfaction, he responded, "Sue me."  So we did.  My "regular" plumber just shook his head when I told him what had happened and advised me that I had paid about double what I should have.  As it turned out, callig on a weekend dnid us no good anyway as the job was not even started until Monday and not completed until Tuesday. 

They are professional and courteous. I would recommend them to anybody.

Overall I am very pleased with the service I received.  They were professional and went beyond what they needed to do by helping me with the boxes. I was very upset to come home to such a mess and I also appreciated the servicemens patience with dealing with me. 

The price was outrageous. The quality of the work was good. I would not recommend using him. He is a thief. I did not get an estimate first. The 3 parts totaled $25 and the rest was labor. He should have told me what the price was going to be. I would never use him again.

Well, have a 2 story house and have seperate heating and cooling for upstairs and downstairs. When I called to have my usual heating and air guy come he was overly busy and couldn't fit us in for 4 or 5 days. All we needed was a fill-up for the unit servicing the upstairs. I have a routine of having the furnaces and a/c units cleaned and serviced every other year (I change filters and perform simple maintenance myself). We couldn't wait for the service this time since we had a heat wave hit basically overnight. So we called around and found one company who could come the next morning. The service man was very punctual and did the work quickly, but when he gave me the bill i laughed and said "uh, there has to be a mistake...i pay less than this for my my full service and cleaning for 2 furnaces and 2 a/c units. while all you did was fill 1 unit". He replied that he didnt have anything to do with the pricing and, if we needed, to call the company. So my wife called beacuse she is better at staying "sane" in a situation like that. He basically said they charge a couple different fees (service change and some other driving fee) and if we don't like their pricing and can find a better price he suggested we take our business there in the future. This is a well-known plumber in this area and we would not recommend this company to friends and neighbors.

Before replacing furnace at a cost of $4,000.00 I had another firm inspect the furnace. Their tech after thorough inspection informed me that the heat exchanger was fine and the problem was a sensor. This repair cost $100.00. Furnace functions perfectly.
