Animal Grooming
They were outstanding. My dog wants to go there, it's like a spa. They are the best in town. I had groomers before but this is more than groomers, they are like a family.

Animal Grooming
I called the facility to inquire about getting my dog groomed. The woman on the phone answered my questions and said that based on his weight and breed it would be around $80. This seemed pretty comparable to other groomers I had used. However, she wasn't able to get me in for almost a month. I did not want to wait that long since my dog's fur was getting pretty long. I decided that I would try and call another facility. The woman offered to call if there were any cancellations. To my surprise, I received a call the next morning stating that they had an opening that day. I brought my dog in before work and confirmed a pickup time and the price. I asked them to trim my goldendoodle. I did not want his head short at all. When I went to pick him up they had completely shaved him and his fur on his head was nearly shaved as well. I was so shocked when I saw him that I almost didn't recognize him. I asked why they shaved him and she said that is how they cut goldendoodles. I was not happy about the cut, but I just decided that I wouldn't use this groomer again. Then she told me it was going to be $120! She said he had some matted fur. Don't get me wrong I completely understand if they had to take a little bit of extra time and needed to charge me another $10-$20 at most, but $40 more than what they told me? Also, I had brushed him that morning to alleviate any matting and only saw 2 small matts on his belly that I couldn't get out. I will not be using this groomer again.
Response from GROOMING BY CHARLENE
"Ms [removed member name] , Sorry you were not happy with the grooming. But our hands are tied when the dog comes in , in bad condition. Goldendoodles are a lot of work. Its hard to keep them from getting matted. If a dog is matted tightly there isn't anything you can do but to shave it off. Because it is already broken off at the skin. If not removed properly it can create a sore. We have to charge by the time spent working on the dog. Goldendoodles should be groomed every 6 weeks."
