Dr. Jeff is always thorough and patient with our cats. He explains everything he is doing. Talks to kitty too. We have gone to Erie Animal for nearly 40 years.

With 3 dogs and 3 cats, I have too many vet experiences to tell about them all. Unless it's an emergency, we always see Dr. Jeff (Paavola). He's compassionate, sensible, and down-to-earth, as well as very, very smart. The vet techs and office staff are top notch. They've laughed with me and cried with me more times than I can count and are always more concerned about the animals than anything else. I'm sure the other vets in town are also very good, but I won't go anywhere else (well, unless it's for my turtles, in which case it's Wintergreen or Glenwood) for my dogs and cats.

We've taken our cats to Erie Animal Hospital for about 10 years but only when they show signs of illness. We decided our 16 year old cat is getting pretty old and he hadn't been to the vet for 6 years. After a thorough check, the vet said he's in A#1 condition. The last time he'd been to the vet was after he got outside and didn't return for 52 days. He returned in horrible condition. This cost us $1,000 in veterinary bills, but this vet had saved his life, and his severely injured eye by performing surgery. Needless to say the vet was as happy as we were that he's now in such excellent health! Don't hesitate to use this veterinarian for your pets. They are kind and compassionate to pets and owners alike, and they are up to date on the latest diagnostic tools/techniques and treatment modalities available.
