CUSTOM KITCHENS INC

Awful. I understand from others that this company used to be a good choice, but in recent years, with one of the partners retiring, it has changed. Hence the old, good reviews. Unfortunately, I did not know this. The owner is very good at the pass the buck trick. He takes responsibility for nothing and tries to do as little as possible to make one happy. Zero customer service. Here's the rundown: Good: the actual work that they did was fine and we felt it was a fair price. Bad: the idiot workers pulled my stove out, without drop cloths or sliders and permanently scuffed/scratched my laminate floor. The owner did everything to pretend it was not his fault. He blamed everyone but his own workers. I had to find help with it myself. He wasn't interested. All he cared about was getting his final balance. Of course, I deducted the cost, off his bill, of an attempt to have it fixed by another party, but it didn't work. So, every time I see these marks, I have to think about this awful experience with them. Besides the lack of concern or attempt to make things right on the floor, there were other instances where they were not interested in customer service. The counters were 1" higher than my previous ones, so my stove and dishwasher were "sunken". When I called to have them raised, I was told to have my plumber do it. Huh? Turns out the dishwasher could not be raised due to the mechanisms, so I had to pay for another contractor to come over and install a piece of stained wood to cover the gap. When the grout between the backsplash and the ceramic tile dried white, instead of beige ( I was told by an equally unfriendly worker that the cap color was true to the outcome) I asked what could be done and was told that "I picked out white", which of course I did not. No suggestions as to what could be done. I ended having another contractor come over and stain them. Took him less than a minute. I have worked with many contractors and have many houses and rental properties over the years, but I have never experienced anyone who was less concerned about trying to the customer happy. The money we saved on his fair pricing was shaved away by all the other contractors I had to hire to fix what he left me with. And, I still have a marred floor.

It was a very good experience. They were very nice. I think their pricing was pretty good.

The service went well. They had a really quick turn around for me considering I didn't have a kitchen counter top or sink. I went about a week without those things. They were fast completing it and installing it for me. I think the price was pretty good.

They were nice. He had a good eye. He is very detail oriented. It was a beautiful job.
