Their spaciousness stands out. It's clean, not too crowded and I like it. I'm giving them an overall rating of a "B" only because they lack a pool and natural light, but I do think it's a good gym.

I like the spaciousness and value.

I was a member of Best Fitness for 2 years when I decided to cancel my membership because I have a gym at my office that I am allowed to use for free. My husband is still a member and I asked him to cancel my portion of our membership. They told him that he wasn't allowed and that I had to go in myself even though the membership was in both of our names. I found this to be very annoying since I do not have a lot of time and usually have my infant daughter with me. They would not make any exceptions and would not let me do this by mail. I had to go in myself with my daughter and they told me my papers would be ready. When I arrived the gentlemen who said he would have everything ready was not there and my documents were not ready to sign. I had to wait for about 10 minutes until someone else came out to help me. At that point, I had to explain once again why I had to cancel. The gentlemen (who I am sure was just doing his job) was then trying to convince me to stay. I explained once again that I have a full service gym at my work that I am allowed to use for free. He continued to try to convince me all while my daughter was getting very fussy and antsy. I asked him very politely if I could just sign the documents to cancel. After another few minutes of trying to and quot;selland quot; me on staying he finally obliged and had me fill in the necessary documents.

It's a nice atmosphere and the trainers are good. I've used a couple of trainers. They have a good selection of equipment and the locker rooms are nice and clean.

The price and quality are excellent.

I joined 3.5 years ago having been using the YMCA previously. The place was brand new and the monthly membership was cheap $19.99 per month. At first I was fairly happy with the experience. Although the equipment was obviously used and not the state of the art. Most fitness centers have TV built into the tread mills. Not here. A couple of big TVs to service 100 people. It was closer to home, brand new, and about half the price as the Y. After about two years they recruited so many members and students in the summer that I could not get on a piece of equipment at my usual work out time of about 6:30 PM. I had to wait until about 7:30. Still no huge problem. Eventually it got to be ridiculous. I went looking for another center. What I found was better equipment, equipment available for a little more per month. So, I waited until the membership term was up and went to Best Fitness to cancel. I went down 3 times and was always give a lame excuse why they could not cancel it. I finally brought down a copy of the contract and they made a statement and quot; I don't care what that piece of paper says, our policy is you can only cancel between the hours of 9 and 5 Tuesday through Friday.and quot; Well, I couldn't make it during those hours without taking time off from work. I finally gave up and took the time off.

Overall my feeling is it is a mass marketing organization built to maximize income and not so concerned with customer service. There are plenty of smaller Centers that are much better for a little more per month.

They draw from your credit card monthly and it is pretty inexpensive. It is convenient to me, it is clean, they have plenty of equipment, and it isn’t overcrowded. People are friendly and it satisfies what I need to do for my exercises. The drawback is that there is no sauna, whirlpool, or swimming pool.
