Mike Sheely Home Inspections

Mike was professional and easy to talk to. He was very thorough, and made sure we understood any issues he found. I would definitely recommend!

At first not so well. I had a passive system currently installed and I was hoping making it active would solve my radon issues; note my radon levels were off the charts at around 130 pCi/L. Mike and son showed up on time and performed the work quickly and efficiently. They needed access to my attic in which they added a fan to my passive system, did some sealing around my sump and added a manometer. Total time of around 1 hour. Unfortunately though running efficiently, this only brought my readings down to around 75 pCi/L. Cost of 1st install was $765 Mike and son came back out again and installed another suction point, including drilling and installing 4" pvc, another fan, and another manometer. Total time of around 1.5 to 2 hours. Again on time and done efficiently. Both times they cleaned up everything and were respectful of my house. Luckily this time it worked, bringing my levels down to around 1 pCi/L. Cost of 2nd install was $965.

Mr. Sheely was instrumental in preventing me from making a bad investment.

Inspector was there before me and in the home. Welcomed me in and went over how the process worked and what I was going to receive after the inspection. He provided me with paper, tape measure and a pen so I could take measurements and write down any questions or anything I needed. At the end of the inspection he went over the entire report and walked through rooms showing me what needed fixed and what was suggested. He was honest, clear and even provided money saving tips from past experience. Extremely professional and he even took the time to show me how different things worked in the home (like fireplace and showers etc..) I would absolutely recommend. Great price & Great service!!!

Mike scheduled an appointment within a few days of my call. He determined that I needed a new fan and that he would order it for me. When the fan came in, another appointment was scheduled for installation. Mike was prompt, professional and very personable; the whole process went smoothly. I would recommend Mike to anyone.

He was very professional, completed all work to standard, answered all questions and I would hire him again without question.

Mike was very informative and was able to answer all of my questions. He took his time and included me in the inspection by showing me his findings. Email report was provided within an hour of concluding the inspections. Very professional.

Unexpected traffic delayed their arrival by a little bit but Mike was courteous in giving me a call with a heads up. I asked Mike for some guidance in some plumbing related issues (not specifically his field, but since he is a home inspector also, he knew what he was talking about) and he was very helpful. He and his two crew members got right to work. They stayed busy the entire time, no dawdling, and finished in a timely manner. The entire job took them 3.5 hours. I plan on using Mike for any future electrical needs. (Side note: Mike was also our home inspector when we bought the house and he was very thorough. He saved us money with his advice.) I highly recommend him.
