Our dishwasher and garbage disposal suddenly stopped working. I made sure the disposal was not jammed and even changed out the on off switch and a circuit breaker. I was stumped.  Upon recommendation from a trusted friend in the community, I called George Toyas , the GNT Electrical contractor. He was able to come out to the house that very afternoon. After a very careful examination of our electrical panel and a few other areas, he quickly determined the problem to be a poorly attached ground in a wall switch that controlled the garbage disposal and provided the ground to the dishwasher. Since we are the original home owners, nothing has been done to the wiring since the house was built in 1992. Apparently, the building contractor's electrician had attached a ground in a way that worked loose due to everyday normal vibrations. Mr. Toyas made certain his work was done correctly. He was very polite and personable and seemed to enjoy discussing each step of his task. I certainly appreciated learning something about electrical connections.  He said he has many years of experience and took over the business from his father. I like his attitude of not rushing a job and he does not take short cuts as larger electrical companies sometimes pressure their employees to do. Compared to other contractors, GNT Electrical was very reasonable. GNT will definitely be my first call for any kind of electrical work in the future.
