The work itself -- now that it's finally done -- appears to be just fine. Although there was one final jab the day they came to perform the work. They tore up all my sidewalk except for one small segment in the middle. When I questioned that, the guy said that "the contract you signed" stipulated they would replace a certain square footage of sidewalk. Apparently "replace my sidewalk" wasn't clear enough to them, and I was at fault for not taking a tape measure out to check their math and realize that "XX square feet" = a partially replaced sidewalk. Not only does that approach defy common sense, it would have looked horrible if they'd actually gone through with it. Which they would have if I hadn't been home at the time and happened to notice what they were doing. To their credit, when I made this case to the workers, they called their boss and he told them to go ahead and replace the entire sidewalk -- not just most of it. Gee, thanks for that.
