Emmaus Farmers' Market

My experience has always been excellent.  I usually buy fruits and vegetables there.  It's a grower's market so its local farmers and they get to support the local businesses.  It's nice because the farms are within a certain mileage from the house and some of them actually sell from their farms.  For example, there's one center here that is called Happy Farms or Happy Eggs and I go out there and buy the eggs from him if I don't happen to catch him because he always sells out.  The way the chickens are treated is so horrible which I didn't realize until very recently and so I'm now shopping around to see.  There are some farmers who put them in the battery cages.  These cages are 4 inches wide where they can't turn around and their wings are stuck in one position all the time.  These chickens roam free on his farm and have houses they can go into and come out of.  They are fed organic food, but they can eat from the grass as they normally would.  It's like a natural living for the animals.
