About us

2-3 EMPLOYEES. SUBS USED. COST IS DETERMINED BY THE JOB. NO TRAVEL CHARGE. NO EMERGENCY SERVICE CHARGE. Mark Cummins, Owner/Operator is a member and President of the Morgantown Area Business Association (MABA). Thunder Wash is a privately owned, full service pressure washing company providing many of your power washing needs. Since 1994, we have provided both residential and commercial pressure washing services throughout Chester county, Delaware county, Montgomery county, Berks county and neighbor counties gaining popularity and referrals from satisfied customers who have contributed to building our trusted reputation for providing skilled and quality pressure washing services. Always looking forward to starting my own business, I began researching the pressure washing business. Witnessing the remarkable results pressure washing can accomplish, and noticing the needs of the community, I began my pressure washing business. We are members of PWNA (Power Washers of North America). This organization is continually improving and expanding the services and resources of educating the pressure washer on the most advanced cleaning methods, proper use of equipment and which chemicals work best in each homeowner's situation. Most importantly, PWNA familiarizes the power washers with the rules established by federal and state agencies as they pertain to the environmental impact of power washing, such as protecting ground water. We began by pressure washing houses. I soon began to see the growing desire people had for keeping their wood decks and cedar homes protected from the outside elements of nature. After building a deck of my own, I also wanted to be sure it would be protected year after year. I knew that the best way to preserve any deck was by pressure washing, then sealing or staining it on a regular basis. After experimenting with many products and becoming frustrated with the inconsistent outcome, I was determined to learn the best way to care for outdoor wood and how to acquire the results I knew were possible. I finally found products for both homes and decks which were to my satisfaction and both environmentally safe and biodegradable. We offer our services to commercial areas as well as residential. While maintaining the information we have learned along the way, we have come to realize that pressure washing is as much of a science as it is an art. Thunder Wash offers prices that are reasonable and affordable. We are professional, dependable and efficient in all aspects of our business. Our main goal is to assure you, the customer, are satisfied with our service. We strive to build a long term relationship with all of our customers and hope they will feel free to call us with all of their pressure washing needs. Our services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

I am very happy with the service and results. One of my neighbors was having a competitor provide the same services, their provider stopped me to comment on how good my home looked and complimented the work done. Thunder wash provided an accurate estimate, was on time and respectful of my property. I will definitely use them in the future.

I called Thunderwash because they have done houses in our neighborhood. They were very easy to deal with. When I called the first time for the estimate and left a message, someone got back to me the same day. At that time, they took both my phone number and email address. From then on, we communicated mostly by email. The estimate was very reasonable, so we hired them. They scheduled a date a couple of weeks out. The crew showed up on time that morning and worked very efficiently. They used our water supply (some companies bring their own water tanks). They brought ladders for reaching the upper story. We had taken some of our screens out to make access to the windows easier. However, everything came clean whether we did or not.
They are a cash or check only operation.
The house was cleaned to our satisfaction and so was the deck. We were able to re-stain the deck about a week later without a problem.

Thunder Wash provided me with an estimate on May 16, 2009 to pressure-wash my newly purchased townhome. The home is covered with blue aluminum siding that apparently, wasn't well-maintained. Oxidation of the siding had occurred, leaving a powdery look to the blue siding. In fact, running a rag or even your fingers over it resulted in the oxidized paint coming off, leaving a powdery coating on your fingers. This apparently is a common problem, and can be minimized as long as the siding is properly maintained. Unfortunately, mine was not. Mr. Cummins came out to do an estimate when I wasn't home, so I was not able to discuss with him my concerns. I was already aware that too much water pressure, and the remaining paint would come right off, leaving me with faded siding . . or worse. He left the estimate in the door, but no indication regarding how he would treat this case. I called him in July as other companies that I contacted never returned my phone calls, and Mr. Cummins had been responsive. This time, I spoke with him at length about what was involved, and he seemed quite nonchalant about it. I asked him what I could expect as an end result, and he asked me "What are you hoping for?" I should note at this point that the person who lived in the house before me had made some sort of attempt at cleaning the siding (by hand), but the effort left a "swirl" effect where the oxidized paint simply looked like it had been brushed on poorly. Mr. Cummins said that at best, the swirls would be evened out, and while the finish still may be dulled by the lack of care, that it wouldn't be as noticeable. I came home to a house that looked in worse shape than when I had left it. While the back of the house looked ok, the front, because it receives direct sunlight in the summer, looked particularly poor. Four pieces of siding on the second floor looked completely washed out - the pressure-washing had removed much of the blue coloring and left a large faded section. The swirls were gone, but in their place was an uneven washing. The edges of the house don't look as if they had been touched, and I compared that with where the hose hookup was and could tell that they were just missed. I contacted Mr. Cummins who came out the following day to see what his crew had done. He informed me that his crew had told him that they removed the swirls and did the best they could. He stood behind his crew and made no offer to correct, what I viewed, as workmanship unbecoming of a professional. I could see that I was going to lose the argument and paid him. I am now looking at having to paint the siding, something that would have needed to have been done perhaps in another year, but will now have to happen sooner as the house is something of an eyesore.
