Tim was great to work with. He was really flexible, working around what we did and did not want done. We really needed the tub and toilet taken care of immediately - they were barely serviceable and had issues with leaking and rotted floors. However, we hadn't yet chosen a new vanity, and wanted to do the tile ourselves. Tim did an incredible amount of demolition by hand, including removing a cast iron (installed, not claw foot) tub - and didn't damage any of the woodwork. He encountered a lot of unserviceable plumbing as he went, and replaced it all. We didn't originally include the pocket door in his scope of work, and he added it later without issues. When he was unsure about how to best do a portion of the work, he called in a friend (expert) to look at it.
Tim is the best at putting up new walls. His work is fast and absolutely perfect. He is truly a good guy and a pleasure to have working in my home for a couple of weeks. He will not overcharge you even if he knows what another company bid - he is as fair as can be and I have recommended him many times. He will do small jobs that the big companies won't even return your phone calls for. I was lucky to find him.
The only things that might be issues for people - he was working at the end of the summer and the job took longer than he originally said because he took days off to do other small outdoor jobs for other clients. He always told me when he would not be coming and I never had a problem with it. Also, he is not lead safe certified and even  though he did a really good cleanup, there are certain things like paint dust that can't just be vacuumed up. Now that I have kids I would probably try to find someone who would seal off the area during demolition, even though this is very expensive and probably impossible to find for such a small job. My house is 100 years old, but this would  not be a problem in newer houses.
After completing the job ourselves (the portion we had asked him not to do), I have  a great appreciation for how well, how quickly, and how neatly Tim works! Don't hesitate to hire him!

He did a great job and everything went very well. He was very courteous, reasonable, and did a great job keeping things tidy and cleaning up after himself.

Tim did good work, worked quickly, and was able to adjust to finding and quot;surprisesand quot; in our 100-year-old house, such as corroded pipes that he originally wasn't supposed to have replace. He also adjusted to requests that I made mid-project, such as adding the pocket door. He's a nice guy, professional, -and only plays good music while he works. He put up with my two annoying dogs, even when the big dog tried to grab a hammer out of Tim's hand while he was putting nails in the floor.
All of Tim's work was quality, and now several months later we have not had a problem with anything he built or installed. He's especially good at framing and drywall. We've since tiled over the shower and part of the floor, and had a custom L-shaped shower door installed. The framing he did made everything very close to square, which is an amazing feat in our old house.
There is one thing that is still not resolved, and that is the sewer line vent. It extends up through the 3rd floor and roof, and Tim told us from the beginning that if he didn't find the clog within the part of the pipe in the bathroom, he'd have to have a plumber come in. When he opened up the wall, he found a very corroded iron pipe, and when he removed it he found it was clogged with rust and debris. He removed the clog and replaced the pipe; both of us assumed the venting issue was solved. We didn't install fixtures until after we finished tiling, and unfortunately then found that the vent was still not clear. Everything works, but the toilet especially has trouble getting enough air when it flushes. I did tell Tim and asked a couple times that he send a colleague to fix this for a reasonable price (as opposed to us cold-calling plumbers and paying top dollar - and he did have a plumber/friend come out to consult on something else for the job). But, I haven't heard back from him. I'm pretty sure we got a good deal on this job and what we paid would not have covered the cost of a plumber even if Tim had someone come out while he was working, let alone now that the pipe is sealed back up in the wall. Unfortunately I'm not sure what else Tim could have done anyways - I don't know if there's a way to test if the vent is clear all the way to the roof.
Tim gave us a quote promptly and was able to start the job fairly soon after, which seems hard to come by if you want to hire a contractor with good reviews. His quote was comparable to the other one we got for this job. He said the work would take about a week; it actually lasted longer. He took a couple days to fit in other small jobs, basically so he could work outdoors when the weather was good. He always asked before skipping a day. Also, I think there was a lot more demolition and removal of old tile/plumbing than he had expected - he spent a few days just hauling materials out. It actually worked out in our favor that he was doing other projects simultaneously, because we didn't have to pay to dispose of any of the material he removed - he just added it to a dumpster at another job. The bathtub he removed (unassisted) turned out to be 250 lbs, and months after the job was done we had four friends come move it down the stairs and out of the house. Tim came back and picked it up to scrap. We actually had two little trucks of his (they looked custom built for moving heavy tubs) for half the year and he was probably glad to get those back...
Overall a good experience and I would hire Tim again.

First of all, Tim's bid was at least $5,000 less than any other bid we got (and we got about 9 bids). Second, the job actually came in at the bid amount with the exception of a few jobs we tacked onto the original projects. Tim was able to get us scheduled pretty quickly, was on the site everyday himself, worked consecutive days and drove to our job from his place in Fombell, PA.

Both bathrooms look very high-end, and Tim was able to suggest a cabinet maker to help us find real-wood cabinets rather than the particle-board ones from the big box stores. Tim was also happy to have any of the materials we ordered online shipped directly to his warehouse where he stored them and then transported them down to the job.

He would check in with us on any decisions that needed to be made, but often we said something like, and quot; What do you think is best?and quot; because this was our first big remodel. He usually suggested a few options that he knew were sensitive to our budget and then would move forward quickly.

Also, we have two dogs. He was really fond of them, and they of him, and he would let them out before he left each day. That really made our lives easier.

This was one of the best remodeling experiences we've heard of - thankfully, it is ours and we couldn't be happier with jobs that were done. Tim's really easy to work with and very reasonably priced. The only caveat is that we received some very explicit bids from other contractors (each and every finish, nut, and bolt were spelled out as line items on their bids). That's not what we got with Tim - very general, one page bid. However, he must have a steel trap for a brain because every single thing we discussed during our original walk-throughs was attended to. Don't let the generality worry you... he's spot on.

We were very pleased with him and found him on Angie's List. He was on time and I can't say that I have any complaints. He did some really great woodwork here and the floor looks great too. I will use him again in the future.

Tim submitted a fair bid based on comparsion to 5 other companies. He started on time and worked a full day every day completing the job in less than a month, the time period he originally projected. While working he demonstrate good remodeling skills and the ability to bring in additional specilities, (plumbing and electricians) when needed to insure high quality. All walls, the old ceremic floor and the ceiling were removed and replaced with all new materials. Tim competed this normally dirty job while keeping the dust and dirt in the rest of the house to a minimum. Tim was very considerate of the people living in the house and very easy to work with. We would definetly use Anderson Remodeling for our next project.

It went great. This is not the first time I hired Tim and Bob so we had fun during the remodeling process and they did a great job. They are prompt and work very hard every day to get the job done in a timely manner.

THEY ARE VERY NICE GUYS, AND I FOUND THEM TO BE TRUSTWORTHY. THE WORK WAS DONE IN A TIMELY FASHION. THE DISRUPTION WAS PRETTY MINIMAL, IN THAT I WAS NOT LIVING IN THE HOME DURING THE REMODELING OF THE KITCHEN. THINGS LOOK AMAZING.
