Edward Budd

Mr. Budd was painting a local doctor's office in Jenkintown, and the doctor recommended him to me. I had received three estimates, one from 5 star rated painter on Angie's list, one from a neighbor, and one from the doctor. Mr. Budd has excellent interpersonal skills, and he cares about doing an outstanding job. He was very careful with how he did his estimate, measuring each room, and being sure to understand our needs. He was the low bid on the project, but in retrospect we would have chosen him to do the work if he were the high bid. There was far more prep work than Mr. Budd expected, and yet he stuck to his estimate. He works solo, and the job took approximately two weeks. Every day, Mr. Budd would let us know when we could expect him to arrive, and what he would accomplish that day. He worked full 8 hour days. We felt comfortable with him in our house when we were not home. The quality of Mr. Budd's work was excellent. He touched up areas that didn't measure up to his standards, and these were problems that we often didn't notice. He was very neat and clean, and whenever a room was not being worked on, he did not leave anything laying around. We changed our minds on color a couple of times. When this happened, Mr. Budd suggested a way to utilize the paint that we had already purchased. I'm sure our color changes increased the time it took to complete some rooms. In addition to this, there was a room that he painted with three coats of paint. Before finishing, I did a careful inspection of the work, and Mr. Budd was willing to touch up any areas that I pointed out. But there were really no problems that I could find. We have a big old house with quality woodwork, and we have contractors come by several times a week. I personally want the best quality work done possible.There are contractors that would have done this job in two days with a crew, but I don't see how they could have done the same quality of job that we got from Mr. Budd.
