ADVANCED WINDOW & DOOR

We had 12 windows replaced and could not be more pleased with this company. They did a wonderful job. The windows look great. Workers arrived when they said, were courteous and respectful. Did a great job cleaning up afterward. A+++++

Work went very smoothly. They showed up on time every day and worked diligently. They even tailored their work around our toddler's nap schedule, saving the quieter work (trim, caulking, etc) for then. They made having 21 holes cut in our house a very pleasant experience. They cleaned up after themselves all along the way. We are very pleased with the end result; the windows look beautiful & are so much more functional.

Went very well, done in two days with minimal disruptions. Great group of guys and near the end the owner showed up to do the exterior trim work.

Steve, Felix, and team did an excellent job on the windows and doors! They were professional and easy to work with. Explained what they thought would go well in our house, and they were right, it looks awesome. We got rid of 7 single-paned aluminum windows and replaced them with beautiful double paned ones. The doors look great too. For the front door we selected a piece with nice glass detail and a full-length glass door for the patio. They have made the house look modern and updated. The team was professional and easy to work with. Work was completed in a timely fashion and they left the place nice & tidy. Would work with them again 100%!

It went pretty well

Everything went PERFECT. Steve came with 3 other workers. They were ALL so nice and friendly and having them in my home for several days were NO problem at all. Not only was the install smoother than I thought would happen - they cleaned up after themselves constantly. They dealt well with my 2 doggies when they came in and out of the house. I TOTALLY recommend you call Steve to come out for an estimate. I will use Steve again when I replace my front door.

There were delays getting the product that were beyond AW&D's control. Once the windows came in, the install took four days and went smoothly. I was impressed by the amount of time they took to do the job and with the crew's attitude. They are pleasant, regular guys that you don't mind having in your house. They were fine with me watching and asking tons of questions. One minor quibble: this a small business, and if you expect a corporate level of efficiency all the time (like a same day return call) you may be unhappy. But, if you can be a little relaxed about things, you will get a great job at a great price. Highly recommend.

Very professional from the initial meeting to the final installation.  Great group of people to deal with and would highly recommend.

They were okay. The door is good but there is a problem with the handle. Another door they installed also was not a finished product. When I called them about another problem, they were rude to me but compromised in the end.

We liked everything about them. They did a good job and were really nice. When there was an issue with one of the doors not closing right, they came out right away to fix it.

Everything turned out pretty good. The one guy I was in contact with would come out and fix things quickly if there was a problem. He was also friendly about it.

Wow, these guys were phenomenal. I can't speak highly enough of them. From the beginning of our interaction they were concerned and patient, and much more interested in doing an excellent job than in making a profit. We ordered 3 Okna windows from them for a very reasonable estimate. We also needed 3 windows wrapped with aluminum on the exterior. Three men came out to do the work, including the owner, and completed the work carefully and to a highly professional standard. The wrapping was done with such care and precision that it might outlast the house. They also got an old wooden original window to open that had been painted shut for years, for no additional charge. The new windows have been wonderful and the installation was so good that we haven't felt a hint of a draft. These are wonderful guys who are a pleasure to know and who really put their heart into their work. I would hire them again in a second!

I researched and met with representatives from six reputable (Angie's List A rated) companies in the Pittsburgh area for replacement window installation for my older home. Advanced Window and Door staff was so wonderful to work with from the first phone call. When I said I wanted wood interior/aluminum exterior, they didn't try to sell me something else (like most of the other companies I had contacted). It was clear right away that they weren't going to give me the hard sell...they genuinely wanted to help me find the right windows for my home.
 Jim, the sales rep, was personable, professional, and knowledgeable...and whatever he didn't know the answer to he found out and got back to me right away.  He worked with me on getting just what I wanted (a somewhat unusual but wonderful push out style casement window with retractable screens), at a price which fit our budget. Both he and Steve, the owner, met with me at their showroom to discuss what else I required in a window (easy cleaning, good glass to frame ratio, materials, color options, etc) and I decided to go with Marvin's Ultimate line. Anderson's Eagle line was a close second but the color we wanted wasn't available.
 It was the craftsmanship and pride in his work that Steve had displayed in the showroom which sold me on Advanced Window and Door, regardless of the window manufacturer, however.
Steve, James, and Keith all worked so carefully at removing our old windows and salvaging what they could (some stained glass panels we wanted to keep). They were very accommodating with my schedule and were able to work for a week, work another job while my family came to visit, then follow up and finish shortly after that. They were always on time, really really courteous, and very clean (AND didn't smoke or swear...nice when you have kids around!).
With a job this size and a house this old, not surprisingly, there were a couple of "snaffus". Steve and Jim were "on it" and made sure any situation was remedied. James even came through with impromptu masonry when necessary.
They've followed up with me since they've finished, just to check in, and assured me that I can call at any time if there is any window issue at all. 
From start to finish, the guys at Advanced Window and Door took pride in their work. I highly recommend them to anyone interested in replacement window installation. And their price was extremely competitive. They should definitely be on anyone's "A" list when it comes to the task of researching window installers.
