Rick from Pop-a-Lock squeezed me into his busy holiday weekend schedule to rekey several locks. He was punctual, friendly, professional, and efficient. All locks were rekeyed in about an hour and work perfectly. Would absolutely hire Pop-a-Lock again!

Everything was excellent. Rick quickly assessed the situation, and determined the best course of action to get us back in the house. Success. I suspected the reason my car would not start was associated with the Theft Deterrent System which included a resistance compatibility involving the transponder chip embedded in my key. TJ, the technician, arrived at the previously agreed to time. He was professional and very friendly. After I gave him some history on the problem and what I had done on my own to narrow the issue down he went straight to work. He researched the chip key code that matched my specific Theft Deterrent System and cut an new key and programmed it. It was done in under an hour. When the car started with the turn of the key it was music to my ears. And the cost was even a bit under what was estimated. I was very pleased.

I wish you would have written a review at that time, so that perhaps we could have worked on an amicable solution. Generally speaking, please remember that a quote is an estimate of the time and effort, work and materials that it will take to complete a specific task - sometimes extra costs are incurred based on the specifics, once a tech actually arrives on site and understands the situation. I hope that our Locksmith would have explained that, at the time, before proceeding and I sincerely apologize if that wasn't the case. I don't know any concrete details (and this is almost a year past) so I can't speak to it, but I do apologize if you were unhappy for any reason. I am so pleased with the work Pop-A-Lock did at our home.  I meant to write a review back in the summer and simply didn't take the time.  They were able to handle everything as per the $89 Big Deal we purchased and also the auto keys, which was the most impressive.  The key for the Hyundai is an inverted laser cut key, and it takes expensive equipment to properly cut it, and extensive knowledge of newer auto key technology to properly program it and not lock the owner out permanently.  The gentleman who serviced our home and vehicles was very professional and just a nice, down-to-earth guy, which is what we want.  By the time he left, I felt like we knew him for years.  I recommend Pop-A-Lock Pittsburgh to anyone needing lock work done at their home in a punctual, professional, quick, and complete fashion.  I hope others find the same experience we did.

The doorknob broke over the Thanksgiving weekend rendering the door unusable. I knew the next thing to do was to search Angie's List for a locksmith. I saw the big deal for pop-a-lock and called them. Carly promptly answered the phone, listened to my dilemma and told me a locksmith would call to schedule the service. The locksmith, John, arrived on time as scheduled, assessed the work to be done and got to it. He worked efficiently, was polite and professional. I would recommend this provider and call them again if needed.
