Union Fuel Co

This company had the contract to service our two different heating systems when we bought our house last year. We called them to come provide annual service on both units. My other half scheduled it a month out and took off work. When they were more than an hour late he called to find out what was up. They said they couldn't come and the soonest they could come was more than a month later...which was today. They just called to say they aren't coming today. Who runs a business like this?

They were very nice, decent, polite, and professional. They have fair price. If you ask for their service they'll do it and they don't cheat you.

The staff at Union Fuel act like they are doing a favor by providing service.  They are unwilling to accommodate our schedule when cleaning the furnace or air conditioner.  Customer service does not exist.  This year we made the choice to convert to gas as the efficiency of the furnace had declined significantly.  We chose a different provider due to the ongoing dissatisfaction that we experienced with this company.  When we advised them that we were converting to gas, they were unwilling to work with us to transfer the remaining oil or tank.  In addition despite the fact that we did not use the burner service and were only four months into the budget year they charged us for the entire year of a service plan. 

Do not make the mistakes that we did which was give this company the benefit of the doubt.  Oil can be bought anywhere.  What distinguishes a company is their customer service which consists of working with the customer, treating them with respect and showing appreciation for their business.  This does not exist in this organization

It did not go at all!!! Not a happy camper with them or you! I also contacted you and got no response - I'd like to have a refund on everything I've spent so far through you. ($25 for the discount and my premium membership which is useless).

I have an older central AC system which works pretty well until lately it was not cooling as strongly.
I checked Angie's List and the ratings for Union Fuel Company were all very positive, and they had a coupon for AC service call.
I called them in the morning and they were at my house within 3 hours. The service technician knew exactly what he was doing and checked out the whole system, recharged the coolant, answered my questions, showed me how to do a couple maintenance items, and made a couple recommendations for when I replace the system in the future (like considering a heat pump). He was finished in less than an hour.
I was extremely impressed with this company and would highly recommend them to anyone.
After having some disappointing experiences with contractors the past couple years it was refreshing to feel like I got good value and quality work.
I am writing this review an hour after he left and the AC is working great!

First time using this company, I was very happy with the service.  Definitely will be using them again next year.

I think that they are great! If there is ever an emergency, they have terrific response time. Someone gets back to me almost immediately no matter what time of the day or night.

All work was done as promised and always punctually.  All workmen were helpful and polite.  Work spaces were cleaned and they even removed an old water heater I'd had in my basement.   I was impressed that they always paint the exterior meter piping.  Even though they do not install it, they said it tends to rust, so they'd rather paint it to prevent rusting. 

Before choosing Union Fuel, I contacted several contractors, big and small. Chuck from UnionFuel convinced me they are the best for my situation. First Chuck was very hands-on with technical details. Second, UnionFuel has all the credentials like Carrier Factory Authorized  Dealer, the President's Awards, ServAssure etc. Third, their price was competitive. Their bid was not the cheapest but close. They were about a thousand dollar cheaper than another well-qualified contractor. The installation took one day and went smoothly. The new system has been running well for about two months. We have been generally happy with the whole process. The only small issue is that, after the installation and our full payment, it took more than a month and several emails for Union Fuel 
 to send us the receipt. We need the receipt for rebates from governments and the utility company. 

Union Fuel are fine. The guy was great and they are attentive. They are just to expensive for us right now so we are making due with what we have for now. They were professional, responsive, and called me back soon after I called them. The only issue I had was that I can't afford it right now. They were very forth coming and professional. I'd give them As across the board. I would use them again.

Technician arrived. He was courteous and friendly. He cleaned the furnace. It took about an hour and a half. I then asked him to help me program my thermostat, which he was happy to do. I was very happy with the service and courtesy.

We've been using them since they put our furnace in which was about sixteen years ago. They put a new fuel tank in as well and we are happy with them. One time a fuel nozzle was clogged up and they were out in half an hour and replaced it.

I like Union Fuel Company. That's why I deal with them. I think they do high quality work.

It is always a good experience. They are excellent. They are reliable and accessible. They do good on time service.

They can’t do anything better.  I am satisfied with them.  I am not planning on changing.

We have used them several times.  They are very good.  They also come out for emergency calls.
