The staff at Union Fuel act like they are doing a favor by providing service. They are unwilling to accommodate our schedule when cleaning the furnace or air conditioner. Customer service does not exist. This year we made the choice to convert to gas as the efficiency of the furnace had declined significantly. We chose a different provider due to the ongoing dissatisfaction that we experienced with this company. When we advised them that we were converting to gas, they were unwilling to work with us to transfer the remaining oil or tank. In addition despite the fact that we did not use the burner service and were only four months into the budget year they charged us for the entire year of a service plan.
Do not make the mistakes that we did which was give this company the benefit of the doubt. Oil can be bought anywhere. What distinguishes a company is their customer service which consists of working with the customer, treating them with respect and showing appreciation for their business. This does not exist in this organization
.I checked Angie's List and the ratings for Union Fuel Company were all very positive, and they had a coupon for AC service call.
I called them in the morning and they were at my house within 3 hours. The service technician knew exactly what he was doing and checked out the whole system, recharged the coolant, answered my questions, showed me how to do a couple maintenance items, and made a couple recommendations for when I replace the system in the future (like considering a heat pump). He was finished in less than an hour.
I was extremely impressed with this company and would highly recommend them to anyone.
After having some disappointing experiences with contractors the past couple years it was refreshing to feel like I got good value and quality work.
I am writing this review an hour after he left and the AC is working great!
to send us the receipt. We need the receipt for rebates from governments and the utility company.
