They're a God send, I love them! They're absolutely wonderful. We've been going to them for about 12 years now.

Dr. Burke is fantastic, caring and gentle.  I wish people doctors are as good as she is, they give A+ service and I highly recommend them. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else.

I was concerned about my cat's paw. The vet saw me that same day. Kind, knowledgable staff. We were quite satisfied with our visit. It cost a little more than I was expecting, however.

Dr. Burke is very conscientious, professional, devoted, caring. The staff is all good.

I have three cats, closely related, 18, 17, and 16 years old. For several months now, none of them have been eating much. They turn their noses up from food they used to love. Each has lost considerable weight. I have been bringing them, along with several other cats, to Thoreau for more than 5 years. For this latest eating problem, I brought them to the vet several times already. They have a family history of hyperthyroidism. The latest visit was a follow up for the treatment of the 17 year old's thyroid condition.
I have been using vets for my pets for five decades. For the past two decades, my pets have been limited to cats. I have had good vets and bad. i rate Thoreau as the third best, out of about a dozen, behind Ann Arbor Cat Clinic, Ann Arbor, MI and Forest Hills Cat Hospital, Middle Village (Queens, NYC), NY.
We have been in the Lehigh Valley for 10 years. During that time, we used two other vets, Wright and another the name of which I don't recall. We were disappointed elsewhere, but very happy at Thoreau.

They discovered that in addition to the UT she had a blockage and was dehydrated. After her X-ray it was determined that she was constipated. So she stayed a few hours for the "kitty' enema to work. I picked her up later that afternoon, a much happier cat.

They provide very, very good advice and are very professional. They are on time. Their prices are a little high though. They are very, very caring and are very clean. They are topnotch. I am going to make arrangements to go to them in the future.

The appointment went well! The staff was very friendly with our dog. Our only concern would have been the cost of $100 for just the canine vaccine.

I showed up with my puppy at the appointed time and we were immediately brought into the examination room after some initial paperwork exchange. The tech took her vitals and then we waited for the vet to come in, no more then 10 minutes. The vet and tech came in and I explained what was going on, and she checked the pup out. She explained everything she was doing and answered all my questions. The vet explained what the treatment should be and then we just waited for the medicine. The techs were also very helpful with my questions. Overall, a good experience and we were there no more than 30 minutes.

I see Dr. Elizabeth Burke there. I spent about $150 the last time I went there. I like them because they give a lot of personal care. They are wonderful. They understand well that even the smallest animals are family members. I will continue to take my pets there in the future.

I have been taking my two dogs to Thoreau Vet Hospital since I moved to the area in 2006. They are ALWAYS professional, caring, and knowledgeable. The place is clean and bright. The staff is wonderful. Friendly and caring. They do not push unnecessary test or procedures. They will talk you through everything. They also take a holisitc and well-care approach to vet medicine (which I love!). They believe that prevention is the best medicine but if your pet needs something, they have state of the art equipment. The only downside I would say is that they are very expensive. More so than anyone else in the area. To my knowledge, they do not offer multiple pet discounts. (And I have multiple pets). You bring in 2 dogs at the same time and you get charged for 2 office visits ($68.00 currently) plus whatever else you need.

We have been using her service for about 20 years now. She is great. Everyone there are always nice to our animals. They know who we are and who our animals are.
