When I read a review, I do not want to know how the product looks upon delivery. I want to know how it has stood up to daily use, for a period of time - do you still like it after some time has passed, would you buy it again now that you own it? It has been two months since my kitchen remodel, and I am still loving the finished product. My kitchen is now an enjoyable place to work, serves as the hub of a very busy home, and is the source of many compliments - and even some envy! Henry brought to fruition a vision I had from when I first walked into my house twelve years ago - the kitchen wall had to go. It was obstructive, and left one isolated from the entire house. Now the house is so open and appears to be much larger. The scope of the job was intimidating ( to my husband), the wait was interminable (it was three weeks from final decision to beginning demolition ... in hindsight, hardly a long time), and the process was messy ( it was impossible to contain this kind of work to any one area, the dust was everywhere). The crew was friendly, prompt, and courteous. Henry is personable and responsive to concerns. His estimate was one of three that I had obtained. It was the most reasonable, the only one in which the contractor actually took the time and effort to sketch the changes we were discussing, and the only one that mentioned insurance and was supported with a written contract. My budget was that of a poor man, but the completed job is nothing short of turning my home into my palace.

Henry is fantastic. Great personality and easy to work with. Did everything we asked and we hope he will have time to come back and work on the many projects we will need to have done.

Henry sent a four man crew lead by Tony.  I was amazed how they all worked together as a team and the entire project went smoothly.  It only took them 2 whole days to complete the project.  Henry was great to talk to and work with, and his positive attitude and reassurance to me was encouraging.  Henry takes great pride in his employees and their work.  Henry is not one of those contractors that will lie to you just to get more money out of you.  He is outright honest and will tell you the best and least expensive way to do the project.  I enquired to Henry about another job about someday extending our kitchen.  Once he looked at it and saw that the oil tank and A/C unit would cost well over $6,000 alone he was honest and said it would be better to perhaps rearrange or kitchen instead and it would not cost as much.  Henry is not into the construction business just to get one's money but he is there to make the right and best suggestion for the person wishing to hire him.  I greatly appreciated his honesty on anything we talked about.  I strongly endorse Henry and Sure Fix to do anyones job.

We first had him come out around the middle of March. When he came out, we told him everything that we wanted to do. Four days later, he presented us with an estimate. We conversed back and forth about the materials and the project in general. Every time we talked it took him about a week to get back to me. I kept asking him for a drawing several times and when he would finally send it, it wouldn't be right. He finally got back to me and said that he was waiting on Lowe's to get back to him on the pricing for all the materials, since we had switched the materials and wanted something different. When he finally got back to me, 6 days later, he told me that it was going to be an extra $750, then what he originally quoted. I told him that this seemed like an absorbent amount of money. I then called Lowe's to get the pricing myself, for the specific materials, and found out that not only was it a price increase, but that the materials I wanted were less expensive ($1,000). When I confronted him about this, he said that he was no longer available to do the job.

Everything has been done fast and clean. Great service.

Sure-Fix had far and away the most recommendations on Angie's List, and with good reason!   Renovations can turn into nightmares -- we've all heard those kinds of stories -- but working with Henry and his crew was a pleasure.  When Henry came over to give the estimate, he also made good suggestions to improve the finished bathroom. 
Excellent workmanship and attention to detail.  Used drop cloths on carpet leading to the bathroom, and they cleaned up thoroughly each day. 
Early on, when re-installing shelves in the new closet, a crew member accidentally poked a hole through the wall and into the adjoining
room.   We figured they'd repair the holes after the project was done, but instead they fixed the drywall holes right away (including
re-painting), and now in the adjoining room you can not tell there was ever a problem.   So even when there was a problem, they made it right.
Whenever I had a question, I could call Henry and either talk to him immediately or he got back to me very soon. 
If you're looking for a contractor who is easy to work with, listens to you, and goes beyond the stated requirements, look no further.  When we have more remodeling work to be done, we'll be sure to get back in touch with Sure-Fix.

Henry was professional and  knowledgeable.  The work completed by Sure-Fix was impeccable and was completed on time.  We have an old Victorian and were taken to the cleaners by our previous contractor. If only we had found Henry sooner.  We've never met another contractor like Henry. Absolutely the nicest, most genuine person we've come across in a long time.   We would recommend Sure-Fix to anyone needing work done.

Everything went fantastic. I could not be happier with everything that was done. I will definitely recommend him to anyone of thinking of getting their yard done.

We decided to remodel our kitchen. We spoke to a number of contractors. Henry impressed us with his professionalism. He was extremely clear as to pricing options and time frame for project completion. It could not have gone better. He said it would take five days and it took five days. His crew was extremely professional. They were on time every day. They made sure that everything went smoothly, working to make it a clean and pleasant experience. Henry was on site daily to make sure that everything was done to the highest quality. He made sure everyone knew what needed to be done and made sure that it was completed in a high quality and timely manner. We could not have asked for a better experience.

The owner has not reimbursed us for the mistakes he and/or his workers made, despite his promise to do so,  and we have heard nothing from anyone at this company since our email was sent.

The job went extremely well. Very smooth all the way. I consulted with Henri on the deck plan. He provided me with all the necessary detail in terms of what was needed for the permit and materials to purchase. Once everything was delivered, Henri started right to work. They were absolutely excellent.

Henry was responsive and friendly from the first phone conversation.  Henry initially was called for an estimate for our hall bath.  After much thought we decided the laundry room needed a reno first.  We liked Henry so much we had him come out for the laundry room estimate.  The price was reasonable and he was able to move his schedule around to fit us in before we left for vacation.  
The team arrived the first day and went straight to work.  I was shocked how much work they got done on the first day.  The demo was completely done, new plumbing installed, and they insulated and dry walled the whole area.  The connecting bathroom was recently renovated so we wanted the same tile to continue into the laundry room.  Henry purchased the same tile and was able to seamlessly continue t into the new renovated area.  We've had previous work done on the house and the biggest difference we saw in Henry from the other contractors was that he did all the finishing touches without having to mention it to him.  The biggest area we saw this was the new exterior side door that was installed.  The old door was replaced and the storm door was removed all together.  This left an unfinished gap on the exterior brick.  Henry created a new border that looks fantastic. We were more than pleased with his work.  
Henry's team did a great job and cleaned up everyday.  The work was quick and excellent.  His finishing work made a real difference.  We are still planning on doing our hall bath and we will be calling Henry again.

We had an excellent experience with Henry and his crew.  The estimate was thorough and prompt.  Henry checked in before the start of the work to explain timing and be sure we didn't miss anything.  The work was meticulously done and the crew was very unobtrusive.  I was working from home while some of the job was completed and they stayed busy the whole day and even wrapped up the job a little quicker than I expected, which left me with my house put back together before the weekend, which was very welcome.  The patching and painting is so well done that it is pretty much impossible to tell where the work was done.  Our basement has been entirely transformed - from a dark, cave-like space to a bright, clean and welcoming environment.  We couldn't be happier.  I appreciated the quality of materials used as well as the level of workmanship. Henry came to the site with the crew and checked in throughout the project, he walked me through everything before they wrapped up to be sure we didn't miss anything. Great company to work with.

See above- Came when promised finished jobs in timely fashion

He was running a little late as he was coming from somewhere in Lehigh Valley that was understandable. I was running late as well so it worked out fine. I really like how he did his proposal. He bills for labor alone. The materials are all purchased by the client, that way there is no wrestling with allowances and adjustments as the work progresses. He was very informative and made great suggestions about how to save money on the job. Unfortunately, another provider from Angie's List was able to give me a propsal about $2,000 below his for labor so I went with someone else. If he had been close in price, I would have loved to work with him!

Let me start by saying that this was our first experience with a large remodel project. As such, our pre- and post-project expectations might not be everyone's, but I think there is much common ground.
1) Staff / Personalities
Henry - the lead contractor. He is a very polite and easy to talk to gentleman. He was often available by cell for questions or concerns. He is also a Yes man. That means that he is quick to agree with you, but then often his subcontractor would talk you out of a decision/idea. I have no issues with Henry on the whole.
Mike - the lead subcontractor. He is a very (very) talkative person, who prides himself on quality work. Most of his opinions/suggestions for the work was towards whichever made things the easiest for him, not what was the best for us (the customers). He is also somewhat difficult to work with, as he is somewhat abrasive if your opinion differs from his. Case in point, my wife found herself unable to talk to him after less than 2 weeks into the project. If they spoke to each other, there was an argument.
Tim - the helper/apprentice. He is a very nice person, seemingly only handicapped by Mike's directions. He seemed to genuinely want to go above and beyond, but that might be because he got paid hourly, while the others were paid project based.
2) Cost / Finances
I really liked Henry's approach to overall project cost. He quoted a labor cost for the whole project (10k) and said whatever we chose/needed for materials would determine the rest of the cost. He was very meticulous with receipts and was willing to go into everything in detail. I think that we spent more than we intended, but we were able to choose EXACTLY what we wanted and I made several trips to Lowes to assist in the decision-making process with Mike.
3) Project process / scheduling
I do feel that the process took longer than we expected (or were originally quoted). However, that might have been our lack of experience in a total remodel project.Henry was pretty good at communicating general time frames.
4) Quality / Attention to detail
This is where we were the most disappointed. While the general work was fine, it was all the little things that bothered us. We are ignoring the things that were taken care of in the two final walkthroughs. Here is our "laundry list" of items that after the fact we wished would have been done better/nicer. The tile floor was well chosen and seems nice and strong, but it is not as level as expected (there is up to a 1-2mm tip to tip variance). This is not so much visually problematic, more of a feeling of misalignment when standing or walking on it. The tile floor trim is already coming off the cabinets. Also, the threshold cracked within a week of completion, and despite trying to schedule a replacement after our vacation, we have not heard back from Henry (although we have not pushed the issue) to fix it. The pantry in the kitchen was nicely designed, but the door rests on a plain plywood block of wood which is visible as soon as you open the door. The light switches while functional, flex and wiggle a little when used, which feels cheap. The corner cabinet's are freezing cold, which implies no insulation was done there. The guys pierced the upstairs hardwood floor twice with maybe 3/4" holes, which we only noticed when we moved a throw rug.
5) Overall impression / satisfaction
We are soooooo happy to be rid of our old depressing, dark, and unusable kitchen. We would probably not use Henry again, or if we did, Mike would not be allowed on the project or in our house. We would have loved a little more attention to detail, but maybe we were expecting too much.

Henry first met with us early in the year, I had done the plans for the kitchen & bath myself but we spent a good few meetings making sure that everything was right, this seemed a bit tedious at the time but was well worth it in the end as everything turned out great.
On Henry's suggestion we purchased all the materials up front, so the price I have put 70k includes all the materials & furniture as well as Henry's fee.
Having everything in the house before the actual renovation started meant that the whole job was done in five weeks from start t finish.
It was a great experience Henry & crew were great to work with, they were  very pleasant, they arrived on time & everything was cleaned up at the end of the day.
We added extra stuff  a couple of times but it was no problem for the crew they just did it no questions asked.
We will definitely hire Surefix Remodeling again probably very soon.
