This is the most horrible thing I've ever been through. This company should be out of business. They are incompetent and dishonest. They used inferior products. The windows leaked and were crooked. The cement slab was full of crevices, pits and rocks. They cut through electrical lines which they should have known were there. There was a ridge vent put in the roof that shouldn't have been. I could go on and on. We ended up firing them and took them to court. We had to hire another contractor to clean up the mess. The addition will never be right and we have to pay loans on it and live with it.
Description of Work: Anthony Hyde, who runs Practical Solutions, built a one room 18' x 18' addition on to our home. There were 2 windows installed, cement floor poured and a roof put on. There were two men doing the work and it took 32 weeks before we finally fired them.

Every aspect of this build went poorly. He damaged our personal property and deviated from the contract many times. Mr. Hyde poured the concrete slab - it was very unlevel. Many high and low spots. We now know that this horrible floor job cant not be fixed without jackhammering it all out and starting over again. The windows are uneven, every outlet is at a different level, all trim work had to be redone, the windows were leaking and had to be fixed, the door was installed improperly and had to be replaced, he left our yard in disarray with construction debris mixed with rocks. He cut the wire out of our wall that was for the downstairs heaters, he bent our daughters swing set, bent our screen to the window and put the thermostat on the outside wall.
Description of Work: Mr. Hyde was contracted on June 13, 2006 to build a 18x18 addition and to side the addition and the rest of our home to match. After many problems we feared for our safety and finally fired him on Oct. 16, 2006. He was way over the eight week time frame for this build. We fired him 19 weeks into this build and at the rate that they work it would have been 19+ weeks to endure. They did very shoddy work.
