Platinum Pro Painting

One word: Terrible. If Joe showed up at all, he was late, left after a few hours, and left a mess behind him. I don't know where to start. I'm here in December with the owner not returning calls or emails as the work is not done. My deck needs touch ups (missed spots and oversprays) and my entire garage epoxy coat is peeling up. About 3 weeks ago he told me he'd be back on a Tuesday, he was a no-show. Then told me he would be back Thursday of that week..nothing. Now not contact at all.

I'm left with a mess to clean up myself (he used my ladder and extension cords, which are covered with paint). I will be cleaning up overspray and touching up the spots he missed on my deck. I will also need to spend more money on another contractor to re-do my garage floor.

This job was bid the lowest for a reason, apparently.

The owner gave an estimate and promised he did the work personally because he had previously experienced when using sub-contractors or employees the work got sloppy.  He did not do the work though, he subbed the job out to employees he found on Craig's list, therefore had no idea of the quality of their work.  Paint was spilled on carpet, a sofa, fabric shades and drapery.  Outlets were painted over and hardwood base molding was covered in paint.  No plastic sheeting was hung during sanding of drywall so areas of the home were covered in dust and not cleaned.  Some spackle was painted over without being sanded and one room was painted the wrong color.
