Description of Work: These guys are subcontractors from Lowes. They came to my house measured my rough opening for a patio door, while rejoicing in the fact that the area was covered by a screened porch and did not have to worry about sun, rain or elements. Made the appointment for installation about 45 days later. I was thrilled to be getting a new door and very excited only to be let down. My husband and I both took off work to be home for the installation. The morining of installation I receive a call from Homestyle Remodeling that they will have to reschedule due to rain. I told the this is unacceptable, when they came to my house made a big deal about the covered area in which to work in. They requested reschedule of job. I said ok but had to be at my convenience because they are the ones cancelling. I said Monday because I was allready off work that day. They said no because they have a new job on monday and could not cancel their work... this is not right because it sure was okay to cancel my job on a Friday. I work night shift, so it is hard to try to sleep for work and have a contractor banging, etc.... Needless to say I was upset and called Lowes they inturn sent a 2nd contractor to my home the very same day which was good, told me to remove exterior trim around frame to avoid the contractor removing from exterior wall of home. We did this took 10 minutes approximately, now wind blowing through rough opening gaps without trim, but ready for contractor to install door without any obstacles.. I thought the problem was to be resolved. However, another day went by and we got another phone call on Saturday that Edward Marsh( name of second contractor) could not do the installation on Monday as promised. they called the first contractor and discussed the installation. HMMMM? The first contractor Homestyle Remodeling cancelled due to rain. His equipment would get wet? Anyway, second contractor said door would not fit in my opening, they dont install clearance doors ( this door was discontinued only, not used or defective in any way), too many excus
