Chris is excellent to work with. He definitely is an expert in this field. We went back and forth several times and bounced ideas off each other, making sure I was completely happy with the final design. Installation went smoothly. He finished on time and on budget. I get allot of compliments on my patio. Definitely would hire again. Great work.

Excellent work always does a great job at a fair cost. After years not one paver has moved or settled. The base of our patio was done very well much thicker then others I have seen. It's all about the base and prep work to create a long lasting beutiful project.

I had a fantastic experience working with Chris to upgrade my walkway entrance. The existing walkway and steps were long overdue for some attention. Chris designed and meticulously executed the construction of new steps and two beautiful stone lighting columns. His extraordinary craftsmanship helped bring my rough ideas to life. The whole experience was excellent. Chris came and explained what he thought should be done, gave a written estimate, then showed up when he said he would. The work was done on time and everything looks great.

Excellent! Job well done! The cleaning and edging was done the first day and the mulching and finishing touches were done the next. Chris and his crew were great to work with, very professional. They took great care doing all aspects of the job and the finished results show. The landscaping all around our home looks like it was just put in... very fresh and manicured. We met with several contractors. There were many who could not see the vision and did not think the work we wanted to do was possible. Then there was Chris. He quickly saw our vision and had quality work at a more than fair price. We knew we had found a contractor that was reliable and would give us a backyard to enjoy for years. The project was very large and had to be completed in phases due to the amount of work, weather, and accessibility of the materials we wanted. Chris and his right hand man worked carefully and diligently all project long to ensure everything came out exactly as discussed. I am a very detail oriented person and Chris answered all of my questions and would continuously check in along the way. Thanks to Chris, we now have a backyard that is perfect for entertaining. He started a little past his suggested date because of the incessant rain this summer. Once he and his crew started they worked for 5 long days wading in the frigid water sucking out the bottom accumulated muck using a dewatering bag (so the water could easily return to the pond) and hand weeding the grasses and last using hydraulic cement and native stones repaired the hole in the dam. Big piles of weedy residue were produced which he hauled away. He even hosed the mud off our fence.it took less than 3 hours before the water was back over the dam.$3 One week after he finished the water is clear, the frogs are croaking and the fish are thriving

Chris and his helpers did an amazing job on the yard. There were several add ons that came up along the way and Chris helped us to make reasonable decisions about the yard and what it needed. He and his workers always came to work when expected and got the job done even more quickly than we had anticipated. We are very pleased with the results an would highly recommend Corner Stone Gardens.

I have been researching this job for 3 years, calling many "chimney sweep" guys whom I realized were totally incapable of doing this sort of work (which is re-building the chimney) because the the top of the chimney had loose bricks and had a big crack down the middle. EVERY ONE of these guys said "I'll just squirt some silicone caulk in the crack" (!) Also, except one, NONE of them even bothered to go up on a ladder and investigate the job before giving me a quote! (none of them was an Angie's Lister by the way)
I was "low balled" and "high balled" by these guys from $750 to $2,500 and they were only going to patch things up. NO SALE!
The lesson to be learned is this: If you have a masonry job - get a mason. There is no substitute.
Due to the diligence and detail oriented mindset of Chris and Ed, I got a terrific job that enhanced my home's value. The work was very difficult because all those mortar joints have to be ground out by hand, and replaced with color matched mortar that looks "normal" and consistent with the house.
The main chimney now looks brand new, which is saying something because it was a unique white brick and it is the first thing you see when you approach the house. The utility chimney in the back of the house(for the oil heat) was also in bad shape. Chris had to use stronger and stronger cleaning agents to get the tenacious soot off of the red bricks, eventually resorting to an acid etch solution.
In addition, they always cleaned up before they left for the day. This is important for a homeowner's safety and peace of mind. It means the employer and employees care about your property. NO cursing, NO loud talking or radio blasting. Professional from start to finish and that is how I like doing business.

I called some outfits to get quotes and had a good response and decided  on Chris Speidel of Corner Stone Gardens. We reviewed my needs and wants and with his input put together a preliminary proposal. I had accepted that tentatively until some further thought and input, mostly from Chris, developed an enhancement that would increase the results more than the first  plan. I accepted the idea and we scheduled the job. I was greeted that day on time by Chris and his assistant and they started that was it except for me taking a peek at the progress. A few hours later Chris asked for me to take a look at the finished product.

I did and it was perfect.

Cannot get better than that.

Chris worked well with me and the engineer who designed the job.  Once the job was started he stayed with the job until completed and performed as the plan called for.  Final landscaping was completed in a timely manner and Chris provided more than I anticipated.  I would definitely consider Corner Stone Gardens for any future work.
