ere was no flashing around the chimney. I called chris and he immediately got defensive and said there was. I decided to call a another roofer and get a roof inspection. I was horrified with the results. Indeed, there was no flashing, no felt paper underneath the shingles, some bare spots in certain areas, no flanges, and no ice guard. In other words. Chris Morgan, did nothing he said he would do. He tried to come out to my house without permission to patch up some things but the roof is a mess. And there are nails his workers have left all around my property.So Buyer Beware!!!!

I may have to leave my home because the Chris Morgan Roofing Company  allowed water to get in my attic and fungus and molds are growing. The water penetrated through the insulation through to the dry wall ceilings in multiple areas. The roofers left before noon without shingling the tarpapered roof when there was a 70% chance of rain.  I informed Chris Morgan prior to signing the contract the importance of not letting water enter my home, because it could cause serious health issues for someone with hypersensitive issues such as myself.    I have a 29 year history of mold illness and have been diagnosed with three major illnesses by world renowned physicians as the result of molds : CFS/ Myalgic Encephalomyopathy, Systolic and Diastolic Heart Failure and Mold / Biotoxin Illness. These are the result of being exposed to molds at work. If I am exposed to molds/fungus, I cannot detoxify the toxins because of a chromosomal defect.   I received disability on the first try without the aid of an attorney and am mostly homebound. My home was my safe place and I never had a worry about mold issues.    Chris Morgan’s response: harassment, fowl language and a lawsuit against me in small claims court. We are now  ultimately going through his insurance company, but who knows what, when or  if they will reimburse me according to the needs of my hypersensitivities. I don't know ,even with remediation, whether I will be able to stay in my home because of my particular health issues.  That is often the case with someone with my sensitivities. This has been a nightmare!   I have been advised not to pay Chris the  balance owed   by several attorneys ,as he breeched the contract by allowing water intrusion.  I am forced to deal with:  toxicologists, pulmonologists, doctors,  mold remediators, attorneys, the  indoor air quality association, small claims court, Chris’ anger management issues and my home being disordered, despite being disabled.   I have had to increase my medications and my health has declined because of the exposures and the stress of this incident. I have a perfect credit history  and have never declined to pay anyone in all my life. But in this situation their negligence has ruined the little health that I have and caused major stress when it was not warranted, which also deteriorates my health.  Molds do not stay in the attic and can filter down into the main living area. I have had severe reactions to  mold spores in my living areas and anyone who has gone up into the attic.

We had a bad storm last winter and needed a new roof. We contacted Chris Morgan Roofing and it took a long time for him to even get out to us. He kept on giving us a date on when he could be there, but continuously prolonged it. When they did finally show up, the crew had the roof off and back on within 5 hours. They missed a quarter of the roof so there was about an eighth of the roof that they didn't finish which caused leaks. They didn't put felt under the shingles throughout the whole roof and didn't put any flashing around either chimney on my house. I told him about it he said that he will have someone come look at it when he feels like it and then said if you ever call me again I will file harassment charges against you. I finally got a roofer that a friend referred and he said that this wasn't just a bad job but it's a fraudulent job. He said the roof was done completely wrong and has to be completely replaced. Chris Morgan is the rudest, most unprofessional company that I have ever used. He displayed very innapropriate behavior and was just extremely rude to me.

Was the cheapest offer...but I just did not have a good feeling and went with an more expensive offer (for which I found great reviews on Angie's List).

It took him 4 weeks to get to the property to give an estimate. Completed 3 weeks later. Got a call on vacation, which was to say the roof is still leaking. Would settle payments. My husband called Chris, and he was very unprofessional, talking inappropriately and hung up the phone. I called Chris back to ask what the problem was, and he demanded full payment of $2,500 for the new roof (which leaked!) by next Monday (8/20/07), or he would take us to court. Then, he hung up on me too. We cancelled our initial check for $500, so now he has gotten $0 from us. We had told him we would pay in full, we just wanted to make sure that the NEW roof didn't leak anymore.
