They are excellent and I have had real good experiences with them. They are a little pricey but I would highly recommend them.

First I must tell everyone to AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP AT ALL COST.

I had my oil changed at my personal mechanic and was told that the front tires were wearing on the inside unevenly (usually means a wheel alignment is needed). Decided to go to Lancaster County Hyundia seeing how I bought the car there in 2010. I have a Hyundia Elantra Touring Car. I waited for the car and was told the alignment was complete and everything was ok. I drove off and about an hour later I looked at the printout that you get with the alignment that shows the before and after of your camber and toe and noticed that the drivers front tire camber had been out (in red) before the alignment and the after was still in red and even more out of spec. I called and went back to the dealer to be told that it was normal and that the technicians do that because it gives better tire wear than to actually adjust the camber to factory specs. It sounded odd to me but what do I know.

6 weeks later I had my oil changed again, and noticed that the inside of the same tire was wearing out much quicker and the tire was about ready to be replaced. (these tires are hankooks 100M tires with only 40M miles on them. I went back to the dealer that day and now was told by the service technician that he had NEVER TOLD ME THAT THE TIRE WAS ALIGNED OUT OF SPEC ON PURPOSE and that I was delusional. I than left after feeling threatened and another service man came out and now explained that I had damaged the tire, that I had to have hit something and the TIRE was damaged, that it had a bad belt. None of this had been told to me when the original alignment had been done 6 weeks prior.

PEOPLE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS SERVICE DEPARTMENT. Unless you like to be lied to and ripped off. If you have any questions you can email me at [email protected]

UPDATE: This is a response to the service managers response to my original review and complaint. My complaint was that I was NEVER told there was a problem with the alignment that was done by Lancaster Motors. I was never told that the camber was out by the customer service rep. I then came back later in the day and was told that the misaligned car was done that way because it was better to be out of spec. for tire wear. I then got upset and was told by the service manager that I hit something (NOT TRUE). That there was physical damage to the car. ( NOT TRUE then or now.). That the tire had a broken belt. (NOT TRUE AT ALL.) The tire was checked by 2 different repair shops and a tire specialist and they all said that the service manager LIED. Nothing that was said in the response to my review by the service manager was true and again shows how pathetic this dealership is. The joke is I actually bought my car from this dealer. This is the type of dealer that hurts the Hyundai product.
Response from LANCASTER COUNTY MOTORS
"The customer did make an original appointment to have the alignment performed. As requested, we did perform a proper alignment which is noted in the drastic change in the “toe setting.” As the customer arrived, the toe on the left side was dramatically out of specification. It was brought to within specification, however the camber was right on the edge of spec. Camber is not adjustable on this vehicle and no further service could be performed. Upon his return to the dealership, the customer was very loud and unruly insisting Lancaster Hyundai did not complete the alignment. Upon the Service Manager’s interjection, additional evidence was noticed that the vehicle had impacted an object rather harshly. The left front tire had a broken steel belt (internal) and there was damage to the suspension and vehicle. Upon asking the customer if he had hit something he adamantly denied the impact. After showing the evidence of the impact, he recanted his pervious denial and was understanding of the damage. Lancaster Hyundai did not damage his vehicle and if he was honest with us up front and said he hit something, we would have recommended alternative repairs to just an alignment. The dealership cannot be baled for lack of information from the customer. The customer left our dealership with a true understanding as to why his alignment could not be better due to the impact/accident. We have our limitations of mechanical repairs when a vehicle is in an accident. The customer is asking for twice the price paid for an alignment and requests us to replace his tire that he damaged. It is absurd for anyone to expect any business to cover repairs and damages cause by the owners own fault. Damage is not a warranty by any manufacturer and is the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner/s."

I had my 2006 Subaru Legacy with ~67000 miles in for a PA State inspection at a Non Subaru Dealership and it was noted that the Head Gaskets and Rear Sep Plate Seal were leaking. I took the car into Lancaster County Motors Subaru Service 5260 Main St East Petersburg and they confirmed that yes indeed it needed these and estimated the services to be $2200. Wow! I bought this car from the same Dealership and now at 67,000 miles I need $2200 worth of work!
I took the car in for the work on 8/7/13 and it was completed within a day. While the engine was apart they informed me that I should replace the Timing Belt also, now I'm at $2700 including tax.
When I picked the car up there was a smell of burning oil but knowing the engine was just worked on we felt it would take a few miles for the oil and grease to burn off the motor. The next day I checked the engine and found the Axle Boot was ripped 180 degrees and the oil from this was dumping onto the catalytic converter directly below the Boot. There was not a rip in this Boot BEFORE it went to Subaru for the engine work. In fact it was never reported on the State Inspection or the Inspection Report that Subaru did when they determined it needed the Head Gaskets and Seal. I went back and looked at my receipt for the work and on the last page, backside there is a picture of the torn Boot and a note that said:
ACT NOW Front Passenger Side Inner Axle Boot is ripped. It could lead to inability to steer! Estimated Cost to Repair: $213.48.

Wow! So Subaru disconnects the Boot to do the Head Gasket and Seal work, rip the boot, reinstall it and try to pass it off back to me as needing an additional $213 to repair their mistake! I called the Service Manager Monday morning and explained about picking the car up with the burning smell of oil and finding the ripped boot. He said to me, and quot;So what are you saying?and quot; I replied, and quot;I'm saying you ripped the boot when you did the work and now you want me to pay for it!and quot; A few moments of silence and unapologetically, the Service Manager said, and quot;When can you bring it in?and quot; I said tomorrow. He replies, and quot;OK we'll take care of it.and quot;
When I brought it back they did repair it with no cost to me. When I asked for a Loaner Vehicle I was told, and quot; There are none availableand quot;. I drove an additional 2 hours to take my vehicle back and pick it up, I had to leave work and inconvenience someone else to make the trip with me and not so much as an apology or a car wash!
I get the fact that people make mistakes. Things happen. Todays vehicles are complicated and there's not a lot of room in there to do the work. But don't lie to me and try to pass this mistake off on my family to pay for.

Bought this brand new Hyundai back in October/November. (see worst buying experience ever) It has approximately 5000 miles on it. On the rear window the decorative trim has come off. One side of the car I'm assuming came off at the car wash, as I saw the other side fly off when I washed the car myself.
I called service and told them. I was told that only the entire window would have to be replaced and that it wasn't covered under warranty.
I then contacted the sales manager who during my worst car buying experience promised to take care of me in the future, and to contact him if I needed help with anything. I sent him an email about the problem, he responded immediately with and quot;I'll look into this for youand quot; and two weeks later I still got no response. I sent him a second email asking if he was still working on this. To which he replied in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS, that I had to call the service manager. Unbelievable.
I called the same service manager who said no the first time and this time he tells me THAT I CAN'T TAKE THE CAR THROUGH OUR LOCAL STATE OF THE ART CAR WASH. No I'm not joking. I then sent an email back to the sales manager and the owner of the dealership. The owner responded and said he'd see if he could help. Still no response.
I called Hyundai corporate where two agents heard the story and both were shocked. One actually was silent for so long she came back and said she was speechless. They promised to call the dealer immediately. I got a call back from the speechless gal who tells me that there is nothing they can do and that my car shouldn't go to the C******* wash any longer. She also informed me that C*******/Mister had an excellent claims policy and they'd fix the car. I asked her if she were buying a new car and was told it couldn't be washed would she buy it. She couldn't answer. I drove to the wash where the manager laughed. He looked at the car and said that it is clearly a defect in the way the trim was installed. I knew this and certainly don't hold the car wash responsible especially after I wittnessed the other side blow off at a regular wash.
This Lancaster County Motors Hyundai dealer is awful.

This was the worst car buying experience I ever had. The salesman told me all kinds of things that simply were not true.
Including that my car came with a free loaner for all my service visits. That was the one problem that they did actually solve, as they did write up a special sales agreement promising me a free loaner with every service. I am the only customer receiving that. due to the horrible experience I had.
Contrary to most car buying experiences, these folks were lazy, and almost seemed disinterested in making the sale. My car was not ready when promised. They didn't want to work around my m-f 9-5 schedule even when I was willing to leave work, because it was my salesman's day off. This happened several times. Though later I learned after a meeting with management that they are not even commissioned sales people and that anyone should have been willing to help me.
When I arrived to pick up the car on the date it was promised to me, they told me I could get it in a few days it wasn't ready yet. (brought it from another dealer) I informed them that I wasn't leaving the building without the keys, and finally after realizing I wasn't kidding (they laughed) they put a dealer tag on the car and I drove it several days while they did whatever it was to finalize the transaction.
The salesman was fired shortly after the sale. However even after I complained to management, I continued to receive bad service from them. The sales manager asked me to please call him whenever I needed anything and he would take care of me. Twice I've needed him and both times he ignored me, and eventually after reminding, ended up sending me to someone under him who was worse than helpful.
I could list plenty more untruths I was told, and bad service experiences during the purchase, but these facts should be enough to say and quot;buyer bewareand quot; of this dealership.
I am speaking specifically about Lancaster Hyundai.
I had two great experiences at LMC's Mercedes dealerships. Though on my third Mercedes purchase I was promised to have my car delivered for Thanksgiving on a special order. About two weeks prior to that date after not hearing from them, I called to check the ETA and was told and quot;oh, we weren't able to get you that vehicle and we ordered you another one it should be in around Christmasand quot;. Not a single phone call asking me if this was ok or letting me know! I immediately drove to LCM Mercedes and demanded my deposit. I then drove to the Reading dealer who had absolutely no problem getting me the exact same car LMC promised me for Thanksgiving. And got it on time! Reading told me that they couldn't understand why that would ever have happened unless LMC didn't have a friendly relationship with the dealer the car was originally ordered for. I found this to be incredibly deceitful, and was hesitant about buying this vehicle from this same dealership family. I should have drove to Reading again!

I had a problem with a guage on my 2004 Forester which self corrected as I arrived for service. The mechanic told me there were no error codes and they could not find anything wrong. It may have been a fluke or stuck guage to come back if it happened again. It never did. They did not charge me anything. They could have pretended to fix something, but they did not. I go to them for all
servicing of my previous (2004) Forester and my current (2011) Forester. They are always professional and never come back with problems you did not know you had. I have grown to trust them - they are honest and reliable. They know their jobs and do them well.

Stopped in and looked at autos with out a pesky sales person coming out and pushing you to look at specific vehicles. When entering the building I was greeted with a friendly welcome and asked if I could be helped. I ask to drive two different vehicles the Forester and the Impreza. After drive was left alone to talk to my boyfriend and mother. When speaking with sales person (Eric) he asked what I wanted and I said no bells and whistles. He showed me what they had and explained what they could get. Once I decided it was about 2:00 pm and they had the vehicle ready by 6:00 pm. Financial personal very helpful in getting me the best deal. Plan on having my Forester serviced there and will report back on service quality. I loved the experience of having the freedom to look around with out anyone over my shoulder and helpful friendly staff being available when I was ready to talk to someone. Hoping my service experiences is just as pleasant.
