They did OK with the basic
installation of the generator: the concrete slab, the connection to the
incoming power, the connection to the house, etc. However, they did not install
an important feature of the automatic transfer switch that controls major
electrical devices like the central air conditioner and the water pump. It
appears that because this was not installed, the generator failed the 1st
time it was needed. The error code for the failure indicated that it was
probably an installation problem. The manufacturer agreed. The generator worked
for a basic test but not when it was needed for the 1st power
outage. I called Ken to let him know but did not hear back from him for over a
week and after 3 calls leaving messages on two different numbers. When he
finally called, he said he would be out to investigate and call the
manufacturer if needed. He never showed up and never called me again. That is
unacceptable support for a generator failure due to an installation problem
where his employees did the install. Therefore, I do not recommend his company
for installing generators. I got the impression that they don’t know the level
of detail on installing and configuring generators that is needed. Also, they
seem way too busy and unresponsive to support a generator. So proper
configuration of the generator and support after the installation by Ken’s
company is unacceptable in my opinion. Because of this, I give his company a D
for the generator.

CHARGES NOT NOTED BECAUSE HIS WORK WAS DONE AS A SUBCONTRACTOR, BUT HE HAS WORKED DIRECTLY FOR ME IN THE PAST. HE IS RESPONSIVE AND THOROUGH. HE KNOWS WHAT HE'S DOING, AS DOES HIS WIFE, WHO OFTEN WORKS WITH HIM.
